I've dropped a lot of anime, but I haven't dropped any manga yet. (Well, Blue Lock is as good as dropped in my book, but anyway.) For whatever reason, I have a much easier time reading manga I don't like rather than watching anime I don't like. I think it's because a manga chapter usually takes less time than an episode. It's easier to justify one more chapter rather than one more episode. On top of that, I don't binge anime that much. Most of the time, it's one episode, and I do something else. I can read many manga chapters with ease however.

I get bored easily by anything, and if I don't like something then it's all the harder to continue. But in the case of manga, since it sometimes feels like a chore I would have to say that watching an anime I don't like is easier.

Conversely, in my case I see every short chapter as a new opportunity for a break, which I take more often than anime.

Again, in my case this is different. I do binge anime a lot so I finish anime much faster than manga. It's then easier to just quickly get through a series I don't like.

to me reading manga is more of a 'commitment' than watching anime because anime you at least have the audio component, so bad anime is easier to handle than bad manga

I can't read something I don't like. Anybody can relate to having to read things you don't like for school.

I don't watch/read anything I don't like, but when finding something to watch/read I encounter ones I consider boring thus don't like. For example, I was looking forward to Osamake solely because the original character designer is someone whose art I really like. It's a romcom so I wasn't expecting anything much to begin with, but let me tell you it was fucking hard to stomach when I watched the first episode because of how boring and cliche it is.

Anime and manga is meant to be fun, if you're not enjoying a series it's best to cut your losses and move on, don't trust people who insist a series gets good after 100 episodes it's a writers job to hook the audience early if they don't it's bad writing.

Well I won't go out of my way to read/watch something I don't like in the first place but I guess manga is easier cause I can skim through it

It's always easier to read the light novel for me, no matter how trash the series is.

Like Drugstore in Another World for example, forgetable isekai with a really shitty anime adaptation, yet the Light Novel was still far superior.

It's easier to read a manga because you can just skim the text and look at the images and then figure out the story.

I'm quicker at watching than reading so anime is easier.

Watching is easier since you can play your phone instead of watching it.

Probably the second option but I usually don’t really read the manga of a series if I don’t like the anime of it.

not for me. the more i like an anime or a manga, guaranteed, it's way easier for me to watch and read it. i don't entertain content i dislike but if i do for whatever reason, pace is no doubt bloody sluggish. last night, i was surprised when both the half-time interval and the preview for the next episode started up as the whole episode felt under 5 minutes. when it comes to anime, i view this as a plus if i'm enjoying an anime so much that the time spent feels less than it really was. however... manga on the other hand. extremely annoying as i am now able to scroll or click the pages to my own pace. this means that if i'm greatly interested, it ends in me speed skimming chapters with an unquenchable thirst to know what happens next as fast as possible. (occurs with any sort of literary media containing written text that i consume outside of manga to double.) there's been many times where i've bitterly re-read the same chapter over again to properly digest its contents slowly and to be able to write down my private commentary well.

with anime I can skip or fast forward scenes but with manga I feel like I gotta focus on reading them more

It's actually a lot harder if I don't enjoy it. That would just be me forcing myself. Would rather watch something else.

It's easier to speed through a manga I don't like than an anime. Then again, I don't start that many manga over 100 chapters. If I'm watching an anime, I'm dedicating way more time and so it's far more of a slog at least to me.
