There should be another Sonic the Hedgehog anime, to be honest.

Sonic X is kind of a mid anime to be honest. Even when you watch it subbed, it doesn't really change much.

So why not make another, better Sonic anime? There is clearly a market for it. A new Sonic anime would honestly be dope. While Sonic Prime is looking quite good, CGI shows are getting kind of overdone. We need more 2D animated Sonic shows, and an anime would be just the thing.

Now of course, there is the problem of Sonic not being that popular in Japan. But the franchise is very popular elsewhere, and anime is also popular around the world. If they don't want to worry about TV ratings, Sega could always make it a streaming exclusive. Also, personally, I would love for Trigger or Bones to do it. I know Sega owns TMS, but honestly, they don't really fit the Sonic style that much. Their work on Sonic X was spotty, to say the least. Sure, there were a couple of amazing, sakuga worthy moments, but the action was pretty stiff, and there were plenty of off-model shots, too. Trigger and Bones don't have this problem (for the most part), and either of them would be a perfect fit to animate the world of Sonic.

But what do you guys think? Should there be another Sonic anime?

I never understood why Mario and Sonic who are both extremely popular Japanese characters, have so little anime made about them.

"to be honest"

To be honest such titles should indoctrinate addiction in kids - Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh...does Saga have products with Sonic which are potent enough to turn young people into junkies? Aren't all Sonic games infamously bad and hard to play?

i was a SONIC maniac there back in my early-teens for a brief time. a born SEGA GENESIS gamer, guess i couldn't help but be.
by the mid-90's, Anime came along and swept me up, and has yet to let me go.

still, i retain my GENESIS and games to this very day, including the SONIC titles...

I would love a Sonic anime.
wow I googled Sonic Prime and it looks so bad and slow. Haven't people learned that the basics of animation like squash, stretch, smear and anticipation are also important for 3D/CGI. You can't just make a game engine and animate it. Forget Prime and X, Sonic SatAm was the real deal.

Agreed, Sonic lends itself pretty well to anime, it's essentially a shounen series.

I watched Sonic X on Jetix. They showed European intro, I like it so much!

I think there should be new Sonic anime series! We need this fluffy and amazing hedgehog Hero!

Honestly, I'd rather have another Mega Man anime, though I'm not against another Sonic series. NT Warriors (or Rockman.exe) was good for what it was when I was younger, but I'd love to see even a slightly more mature series. Why was there never a Mega Man Zero anime?

I'm all about ''Make Sonic great again'' but is Sonic even an interesting character to make a show out of, except for selling toys. Selling toys doesn't equal quality. I just don't trust that there'll be a good anime with the number of good out of bad sonic games.

Sonic X was crap. Honestly, forget stuff related to modern Sonic. I'd watch an anime in the style of Sonic Mania Adventures.

Animated Sonic adaptations had already peaked with Boom. There's literally no way an new anime would even surpass that. Even Prime is looking inferior in comparison, lol.
