| Intro was pretty rad for a recap, but the rest was kinda meh, tho the way the lad feels about her acting is the same way I feel about figurines. |

| Nice first episode. I gotta say though, this first episode would have been better off as the final episode of season 1. And I hope that Sumi doesnt turn into a background character that no one notices. |

| I did appreciate the season recap with all the characters since it's been a while and I forgot about some things. I thought the episode was okay for the first episode of the new season. I don't know why but it felt like an episode 2 or 3 for how random it felt. I understood she told us about an upcoming play that could start her dream of becoming an actress, but I didn't know we would see it right away. Regardless, I did enjoy the play and Chizuru's acting was great and was the MVP of the whole show. It's too bad that some other girl was picked, but that's how that industry and many others are run. I did like seeing Kazuya's inner thoughts throughout the play and hearing the audience's reactions. I thought it ended nicely with Kazuya's speech about always being there to support her dream even though he knows it will ultimately end sooner or later. |
| That's fine for the 1st ep of the 2nd season I guess, that's too bad for Mizuhara though she worked so much on that stage play but her efforts didn't get recognized... at least she has MC, I guess lol. |

| First episode was ok, I kind of liked it. Chizuru was great on stage but I think she overreacted when she didn't land the next role. She'll learn that in showbusiness it's not just about acting skill, it's also who you know (yeah like in real life too). It was also her first stage act (I think) so she should have more opportunities in the future. Kazuya was good in motivating her but he cucked himself too /sigh. Hope this season has more progress than the first season but the MAL score isn't leaving me optimistic. |

| Too many inexperienced users (posts under 10) appeared in this thread, and most of them said negative things about this show. TOO SUSPICIOUS!! Anyway, I know that Kazuya's outcry is a bit cringe, but, hey, that's all a trash guy can do, and he based his words on his honesty, his true feelings, and I loved that part. I have been talking a lot IRL with someone I know that has an inferiority complex, and when Chizuru said she wasn't good enough despite all of her efforts and determination, I felt so bad for her. |
| 9:03 Chizuru is looking sexy in that kunoichi attire. Heck, she looks good in whatever she wears! Off to a good start! Good moves by Kazuya. That scene of him motivating Chizuru touched me a bit. That's how you win her heart bit by bit! |
| It was beautiful how he tried his hardest to cheer her up in the end with his sincerity and thoughtfulness, but the premise behind it was very unpleasant and uninteresting. Yes, I do understand the concept of the series is to rent-a-girlfriend to make up for the things you can't have with a actual girlfriend and using that as a premise to then be able to handle a actual girl, but it usually takes a lot for me to drop an anime as I've only ever dropped 1 anime in my life and this is the second one. I dislike his cowardice when it really matters a lot of the time and when it doesn't matter anymore, that's when he chooses to be brave when despite, yes, when its in the presence of the person that matters most which is Chizuru. Ultimately, I've already read the manga and still wanted to see it in anime and it only reminded me why I avoided the series as a whole. |
