| The opening is growing on me, I kinda like it. I'm not surprised at all they skipped the CCSE. This anime showed the BETA quite early so they are trying to get to the BETA as fast as possible. I never expected them to take their time with the early part of the story like in the VN. Does that hurt the story in general? Yes. Does it change much? No, they already skipped extra and unlimited after all. This is just to get new fan and get some of VN animated. Does that sucks for VN reader that wanted a worthy adaptation? Yes. Does it matter to me? Not really, I'm still enjoying this anime. I'm also quite tolerant for art and animation so I thought it's fine. Was never also fond of original design or original seiyuu so the design are growing on me. Still looking forward to see if they gonna change stuff and how the fight scenes will look like. Hopefully they don't adapt all of alternative and we get a second cour but I wouldn't even be disappointed if we don't get a second cour. |
| Really enjoyed the episode. I was quite nervous when the BETA attacked even tho it was predicted, I totally thought something would go wrong. Looks like next episode our soldiers will be able to fight! Looking forward to it |

| Odd point to be exact, but they're properly using Windows XP on their PCs when it's 2001...at least they thought of anachronisms in an alternate world's timeline. |

| Hyperspeed engage! I'm not saying anyone's wrong about the frantic pace and underdeveloped characters and disjointed plot details, but this is still better than I expected. There was never a way to properly adapt something this long in one season. |
| Can you imagine the details left out were for blu-ray release while the broadcast time is basically the summarize version of the anime? Like I know how TV series like Gurren Lagann and Madoka turned into a movie series with cutting out non-important things works. |
| First episode I was tentatively hopeful. Actually a really smart way to introduce the series if they're going to focus exclusively on the Alternative timeline. Second episode I was concerned. Extra and Unlimited got brushed over, ditching the entire context of what makes Takeru as a character so great--that being his transformation, which now nobody is going to see. Third episode I got whiplash. Jumping back and forth through time (what was with that waking up sequence getting slipped in there out of order?) and blitzing through major plot points pretty much dashed all hope for this adaptation. It seems like they actually intend to tell a 50-hour story in 12 episodes. Yikes. Sakaki crying at completing the CCSE was what did it for me. Takeru says they achieved it together, but all I saw was them synchronizing their watches and suddenly it was over. How am I supposed to have any emotional involvement in that? Not to mention the animation is actually broken at times (Perspective? What's that?). And the OP and ED are so generic they feel like a template. Quite frankly, I don't know who this anime is for anymore. It sure as heck isn't for people who didn't read the VN, and it's barely functional as a refresher for those of us who did. If you want anime Muv-luv, go watch Total Eclipse, Schwarzesmarken, and Akane Maniax. They may require reading the original Muv-luv trilogy to understand them, but it would seem Muv-luv anime was actually better when there was no Muv-luv anime. |

| Only played Extra and Unlimited but I'm liking this a lot for a quicky summary of Alternative. Main guy Tak is such a bad ass now! |
| if they can make a 60mm and 120mm "gun" for tsf what hindering them from making a "sniper rifle". and why are they are risking it getting close (i understad if they can only attack the back of certain type beta). it isnt like beta is an angel its really uncanny to see a missile battery and multiple yamato (?) class battery at the same time |
