I don't really care about God, but when I saw Berserk, I realized that can be kind of offensive to people who are religious (principally christians) for talking about demons (graphically), but it's still one of the most influential works in Japan.

but I know there are religious otakus who are probably reading or want to read the manga.

but then I ask myself: Berserk have a good story?

The First person who recommend me berserk was a religious person, just don't take things serious pal.
I am atheist, but one of my favorites characters are Nicholas Wolfwood who is a priest in Trigun.

I think it's a very personal matter.

Personally, I don't see any problem in having such religious, political or social beliefs and reading something that goes against it.

Nah, who cares. I mean, in the context of media demons are very much divorced from any understanding of religion in the first place. Now if it was something like Persona/SMT franchise, which has literal deity names as their "demons", that could be a source of offence for some I suppose.

I'm a christian and I never even thought about Berserk being offensive. I mean, there's no reason to be so serious about sth that is supposed to simply entertain you

depends on how much religious a person is. i refuse to belive most people in forum are super religious. otaku worship anime before god.
i am pretty sure if i show berserk to my grandfather who is super religious, he will disown me.
