| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Back at it with the flashbacks xD Welp, it has to be. Aside from that, there were some questionable anime original fights and repetitive shouting. Yeah, this episode was definitely not good. I thought they pushed it a bit too far with the display of Apoo's ability. They did Luffy and Zoro dirty with that, even if it wasn't quite Batman tier. A shame, I was actually looking forward to that scene. At least the Kid part was pretty dopeand the thighs of WW's underling Totally forgot they're using CGI for his ability. It looked good tho and gave us a little taste of what we can expect in the future. PS: Imagine one of these Gifter NPC's as Tobi Roppo. Dunno what people are one about. Episode had some magnificent shots And here the one where most effort was put in |

| I thought the cgi stuck out more than episode 978 did but it's not bad by any means. It was actually pretty decent. That kid moment at the end was probably the highlight for me tbh It's no surprise that apoo was really strong |

| Half of the episode was close ups from Kid's face LOL. Aside from that, some action scenes. They were kinda okay. Kinda disappointed but pretty sure it's worth it. They're already struggling against Apoo and one of the Tobi members will be joining the battle in the next episode. This will be a bit hard. The thighs shot was amazing. The CGI was pretty good for Kid's ability. Looking forward for more Kid scenes. It's always so satisfying xD Overall an okay-good episode. |

| It's cool to see Apoo's ability again after such a long time but Apoo finally got what he deserved for selling out Kid on Kaido. First time that Luffy and Zoro saw Apoo's fighting music so it's no surprise that both of them had no idea how to defend themselves against that ability. Kid's Punk Gibson smash on Apoo was dope. But there's been lots of close ups of Kid's face in this episode though. xD Still a very slow episode but I've already gotten used to this pacing since One Piece is always the anime I'm hyped at the most every week, so... :P |
| Is the Tama flashback going to be the new Rebecca flashback? Hope they don't do this with Oden either, the Punk Gibson was really well done, other than that, I'm just waiting for a certain moment that will occur soon, manga readers you know what I'm talking about |
| This one was all about closeup shots, I was feeling this episode until that Kaido flashback killed the momentum and Punk Gibson was a little disappointing because of how drawn out it was. |
| Again pretty flashback heavy, but I can't be the only one who loves that moment where Kaido leaped down from an sky island, landed exactly where Kid, Killer, Apoo and Hawkins were and shocked everyone of them with his appearance which was also the moment he got introduced to us for the first time. At least for me it was a very memorable scene. Besides from that the little fights against the beast pirates didn't seem to be challenging at all for Luffy and Zoro but Apoo on the other hand definitely gave them a hard time. I mean how do you even defend yourself against music lol? It's not like you're Kizaru back at Sabaody and just don't care about it. Highlight was easily Kids attack at the end. A little bit of CGI and a lot of close ups of Kids face but it was fine and looked good. I really hope we get to see a lot more of Kid. He's definitely one of the characters we know the least about. And his Punkk Gibson is honestly terrifying. Apoo got stomped. Next episode one of the numbers will intervene? Looking forward to next week! |

| I don't really mind the flashback much as it has been some time since it happened, but I guess there's more to take away from this that we can see now, Apoo probably lured Kid into Kaido's trap. Luffy and Zoro seem to be getting beaten up by Apoo with his fighting music, I don't understand it much, but that last punch for Kid was worth it! Gotta say those close up shots were actually kind of padding the episode out, but that's nothing new. |

| Yeah I guess the CGI scenes for the Kids attack were fine but you know this is ONe piece. Do don't expect high tear levels of Mamoru Oshi type animation with with cybernetics. Umm how ever this episode clearly lacked the budget but to be honest its not a high moment in the manga either so the studio is probably saving their big budget for the stuff to come. |

| It seems Toei will completely ruin the Wano arc. Thank God I read the manga prior to watching this. Today's episode may be the worst in the entire series. |

| The animation was fine, the direction/music placement was completely off though and Killer not laughing was bad. Pacing shouldn't even be mentioned at this point since it's been like this since forever with only a few exceptions. |

See I don't understand how people can sit here and make these claims against wano arc. The wano arc has been amazing in the anime. TOEI has fleshed out specific parts of the story that were lacking in the manga and we have been getting tripple AAA budget animation in the story segments that matter. Sure just like any arc there is always going to be some episodes here and there that are lower quality, but my god that does not discredit the whole entire arc as being something TOEI is ruining. I mean how can you lie to your self, either that or your just venting your frustration because of this ONE episode. But look at the BIGGER picture. How has Toei being Handling wano as a WHOLE?? | If Scratchman Apoo gets finished here, I would be pretty diasappointed in Oda. Neither were we explained how Apoo's power works, nor was Kid's punching Apoo's lights out coherent with what was going on the whole episode, like Apoo took Kid's punch to the face and did nothing to prevent it. Bullshit writing. |

| Toei can really do it. Extreme many flashbacks and not even a single statement of new content. I mean really? Kaido could at least say something different when he crashed at Kid and co. place. At least, we know by now that Apoo was the traitor, and Hawkins probably only joined because he had no other choice. It would be interesting to know more about Apoo's plan, which hopefully will be unfolded. Also, Scratchmen Apoo's power is a mystery. Interesting to see how it works. Next time, Sanji is allured by another woman. Well, isn't that typical of him, hahaha. |
