Assistants are chosen for their dexterity, to fill out margins and backgrounds. They aren't writers and don't act in the stead of the author. Art is burdened by the fact that it's artists are mere humans, and mortality is it's final construct. You need to accept that Berserk, as art, will remain incomplete. By blindly letting your democratization seep into your lax views of artistic expression, you end up with just another sterile franchise. You want it to essentially become fan fiction just so you could continue to consume a franchise you enjoy, just like what happened to Dune, a shallow pit of prequels, sequels, continuations that denature the themes and characters of the series. But just as Nietzsche brilliantly said himself, we need mediocre authors for mediocre people.

Since when a profitable manga isn't a cash cow? If I understand this correctly for you, an anime being "good" (by your extremely lax criteria) justifies the fact that it exists solely to sell useless crap?

And Berserk is peak mainstream, even Pewdiepie talks about it to his fanbase of prepubescent virgins (even if I remember most bookstores asking for an ID to purchase issues, back when I was buying physical tankōbons). Having Berserk as your favorite manga is like saying that Tarantino is your favorite director, 2001 is your favorite film, and The Beatles your favorite band, there's nothing blander and more normie when it comes to taste. Berserk is the ultimate title which serves as a paragon of otaku culture, it's the image that illustrates maturity in Seinen manga, it's even the only good one according to it's fanboys.

And before you come back at me, it's franchise titties have been milked drier than a virginal waifu in a Fate work. Just look at Guts and Griffith promoting obesity and American imperialism.

Who said anything about having the assistants WRITE the series? You like to assume a lot; I'm saying there's a very high chance Miura left notes, outlines and even had it planned out, and in that case, the assistants can then bring that story to life via their art.
No one said anything about them now penning and coming up with their own ending.
