| Hourou Musuko has some of the best characters I've seen in an anime, but the anime gets a bit underestimated since since the adaptation takes off in the middle of the manga. I'd suggest reading the manga and then watching the anime, it's very much worth it. Paranoia Agent has some of the best social commentary I've ever seen in any medium. High Score Girl was a bit ignored but it's hilarious, nostalgic (especially if you grew up in the 90s/early 2000s) and even heartwarming at times. Kaijuu no Kodomo is one of the most beautiful anime movies I've ever watched. It's also pretty weird. Koi wa Ameagari no You ni is another beautiful and mature anime but I don't really know how to sell it to you. |
