| That's the running theme with most -insert series here-/anti-anime outrage mobs (typically found on twitter or reddit). These people usually aren't viewers of the shows they're outraged at, nor would they have been even if there was no controversy or outrage to begin with. We live in a time where rather than simply not watching/reading a series if you don't like it, people are now offended by its mere existence and want it censored or cancelled because it's offensive to some "marginalized" group, rather than just being honest, and admitting that they have a glass heart and paper-thin skin, and don't know how to properly navigate/handle things they don't like or that offend them. @MoonDragon72 The "bullying" is at worst teasing, and is greatly overstated/misrepresented by the synopsis. The synopsis would be more fitting for the doujin/image sets that existed before the serialized manga came out a few years ago. In that Nagatoro actually was cruel, but the serialization doesn't have anything that even comes close. |

| The more accurate translation of the term: Ijiranaide is "toying or teasing" not "bully". Anyways people will complain because they're just the new generation of anime watchers who comes in with their Western views. This is what happens whenever a medium gains mainstream attraction. |

Also, people are all so quick to judge, based on the stupid translation of the title "Don't bully me, Nagatoro"; without any knowledge of the actual source material. If you have read more than 10 chapters you'll know it's nothing controversial. |

| I read the manga, about 6 volumes worth. Nagatoro was at her meanest in the first several chapters (made the guy cry once) and I didn't like it, but after that it turns into teasing. Now, the guy can occasionally flip her teasing around on her: Nagatoro talks a big game but can't always back it up. Doujin Nagatoro was a monster. That's some people's fetish, I suppose. I'll probably watch the anime if I don't have to go to a lot of trouble to do it. (My computer isn't out all the time) |

Honestly, I read the Nagatoro manga and there's really nothing to get up in arms about if you're already into the teasing genre. |

| Nobody has actually talked about the adaptation into the anime part, I have a complaint with how the colors are in the show. Most scenes (at least the ones shown in the trailers) have a really saturated color pallet. I don't really feel like it suits the show at all because its just supposed to be a fun show. Another thing is I dislike the way that just the main characters eyes are unique but then the other characters are just bland. Not really liking the animation aspect of the show so far but we are going to have to wait and see if they made any final production changes which I doubt they did. Also for the story, I hope it stays true to the manga and tries to show the characters expression at least decently. |
