| I bought my first physical copy of haikyuu sometime in november but I felt like it's just easier and more convenient reading it online, so i'm planning to keep buying online copies rather than physical ones. But after buying Mushoku Tensei back in July, I'm planning to start buying a lot more physical copies of light novels from now on since reading physical light novels is a lot better of an experience. |

| I bought volume 7 of the Hellsing manga soon after it was released in English, which was... let me look it up... in 2005. So it's been about 15 years for me. I intended to buy the last few volumes of the series, but they were released years later in 2007, 2008, and 2010 respectively, and by then, I had long since finished the series online, and had lost interest in buying manga, so I never completed the set. I bought a lot of manga when I was in my teens, but I never re-read them, so they just collected dust on my shelf. |

While magazines have been closing it isn't for the reason ML is dying out, there are various reasons like doujinshis becoming more professional thing, digitalization and illegal scanlations have played their parts. Generally every magazine has had each year less readers in Japan, with exception of some magazines targeted at women/girls unless corona has changed it last year. The current ML trend is kemono/furry characters and for big names in ML while I don't follow their social media there was a plan for Tom of Finland exhibition and alongside there would be Japanese gay artists' illustrations irc Jiraiya was one of them. On the actual topic I bought nine volumes this week. Finally got Franken Fran volumes 7 and 8 so I can finish it. |
