Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu) is handling both the series composition and script. Junji Gotou is also drawing the character designs. Tsukiyo began penning the novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in December 2016. Kadokawa began publishing the series in July 2017, featuring illustrations by Shiokonbu and shipped the eighth volume on July 1. The light novel has a cumulative 1.3 million copies of its volumes in print. Souken Haga began a manga adaptation in Young Ace UP in October 2017. The seventh volume was published on October 10.
