| Dead space and the first four silent hills are some of my favorites although something dumb like typing of the dead, lollipop chainsaw or dead rising is closer to the mood I associate with halloween. |

| As someone said earlier, Silent Hill is always good for the spooky season, especially the first 4 games as they're the definition of great horror games to me. Fatal Frame / Project Zero would also be a good choice if you prefer a Japanese horror setting. Haunting Ground, Clocktower 3 and Rule of Rose were also amazing games with a creepy and unsettling atmosphere. If you'd also like to play darker Visual Novels, then I can recommend The House in Fata Morgana and Saya no Uta. |
