| Incredible first episode and very fun beginning! She is a hard worker and has a very strong wanderlust desire from a young age. Elaina is a barrier-breaking figure as the youngest person to pass the witch test. She is able to overcome all impediments put in her path to achieve what in-part was her childhood dream. I can't wait to experience this journey alongside Elaina. |

| So many time skips... I thought the anime would focus on her little adventures but just like that, 3 years passed. Well, maybe it's for the better and the story now has the potential to be something more serious. Hope to see Fran-sensei again, she was lovely with her butterflies and cool stardust outfit. |

| Pretty good first episode if you ask me. it really sets the story in place. the theme of the story is pretty cut and dry and ya i'm exited to see what happens next on her journey! |

| From apprentice to full-blown witch in one episode, things moving fast. It didn't grab me personally, but it is really well made. Good animation and music fits nicely. |

| I thought I was going to like this...but I didn't think it was going to be this good! They picked a good place to start, though it differs from the light novel starting point. The art was the standout, but it's nice that nothing else is dragging it down. There are a lot of new shows this season, so I can't say much about what I'll like best at this point, but this definitely put itself firmly in contention. |

| This is right up my alley and I remember the day it got announced, I never added a show to my list as quick as this one. First episode delivered and really gave me what I was hoping for. Elaina is super adorable, but I do have to say she was quite a stuck up brat at the beginning. The teaching "ara ara" Flan did was the best lesson she needed. No matter how many times I hear Hanazawa in a new role, that voice never gets old. Great first episode and the journey now truly starts. Art look really pretty, especially the backgrounds and Elaina's character design is cute. (Somali comes to mind when I thought about the backgrounds) The journey has now officially started, this is my most hyped show this season for sure! |

| Really enjoyed this first ep, they got me hooked for sure. Elaina is an interesting character, and I’m excited to see all she gets into on her journey. I hope by the end she trains her own apprentice. Visuals were amazing, show has a dope vibe. |

| Such a wonderful beginning! I don't know if the stories would be so emotional and touching, but it looks fantastic! I wish Flan will have a little arc on her country or so tbh |

| This show looks really interesting for me, I love the calm vibes it gives to me. The witches are really powerful here, they are totally destroyers. The time skips surprised me, I thought we would see some about her training with Fran. In only one episode she just went from apprentice to fully fledged witch. Now I'm wondering what we'll see in Elaina's journey. |

| Damn, what a first episode. Honestly I was blown away by the visuals and musical scores used. Plus VAs are on fire with this one. If they keep it up, this is AOTS material for me. 5/5 |

| I was expecting this anime but man it is better than I thought! Animation seems pretty good so far i like it a lot, and also music was pretty awesome. I can not wait to watch more from Elaina. I almost cry when she parted away from her home. |

| That was super fast with how we jumped 10+ years in 20 mins but I guess the focus will be on the journey not how Elaina got kickstarted lol. Probably the strongest first ep I saw this season so far. |
| Absolutely beautiful art for the most part but that waterfall and those fire effects look just awful. Hopefully future episodes will look better in that regard. |
| Even with reading both the LN and manga and knowing how exactly how this episode goes, I still enjoyed the fuck out of it. Can't wait going forward to see more of Elaina. |

| A little bit too much crying for a starter, at least for me. I literally don't know / care about any of the characters. Way to early to give me the feels^^ I Hope the world is actually a little more interesting that it seems at this point. Right now Im expecting really clishee Fantasy things from her journey. Hope Im wrong. Also...why wouldn't the other Witches take her in...like...cause she's TOO good? I thought that was weird. Same goes for the hole Humility thing. Nothing in this first Episode was suggesting Elaine isn't humble enough or anything. Felt off^^ |

| actually I am surprised, magic anime without the characters spend most the time naming their spell during the fight this was the first time I enjoy watching magic fight inside anime, hope it's keep the same way |

| I just realized, the main girl is probably more over powered than was made clear early on, the witch she fought was supposedly the great mage of another country. Hopefully she doesn't get so strong that nothing is a threat to her later on, some tension would be nice. |

| Surprisingly very good combat animation, we have a good bedrock to tell the story in the following episodes and the character design is quite good. Landscapes are excellent. |

| 9/10 first episode. Pacing is a little fast but understandable and didn't let your mind boggle. In just one episode, we got proper character development, an awesome fight, a fated encounter and an emotional parting, and parents with personalities who don't only exist to die or be forgotten. Not to mention a cute protag. I can sense a masterpiece coming. |

| An interesting start with beautiful animation. I didn't hold out any special hope from the previews, but honestly, I think I'll like this quite a bit. Difficult to say, though, as we've only seen the prologue so far. |
