| This just spells disaster, they ruined Death Note which is pretty western friendly and Steins;Gate is set in Akihabara and the main cast are a bunch of otaku, this will most likely be Big Bang Theory with a time travel twist where Daru references Marvel instead of kawai neko tsunderes and Ferris runs a Marvel themed coffee shop. Can't wait to see adventures of my boys Owen, Maria, Dave, Luke, Felicia and Kris. |
| I bet the producers didn't even read the vn and wanna make this adaptation because popular. I can see it working it being set in the states, but make them geek, let daru be a pervert, keep the inside "weeb" jokes and let kurisu behave like a cute smart tsundere. Oh, and the catgirls, keep the catgirls. Otherwise, it spells disaster. But keep in mind: if you don't like it, there's something wrong with you! (Quote: some star wars staff). |

| Out of all the anime they want to live action adapt, they chose one of the most Japanese cultured series, I can't see how the heck they'll pull this off, from the akihabara setting to the otaku quirky traits of the characters. This is the only live action passable for steins;gate, all VN routes adapted, characters on point, even the OST is here. |

| lmao they couldnt possibly adapt it very well. First, the characters are Japanese and they possess some Japanese-only traits. Okabe Rintarou is a one-of-a-kind character that has an odd personality, and its way of talking is certainly Japan-ish, and if it would be translated to English..uh expect a lot of cringeworthy scenes. Mayuri is so child-like that only anime can give justice to that. Live action and with english lang? Damn no. The setting should be no other than Japan, since the Japanese culture also has a big role in the series. If it aint Japan, hell no. The stage play of S;G is awesome, well since it was also Japanese who portrays it, you guys should definitely watch it. |
