THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Welp, it's kinda nice to see rivals and everyone becoming friends with each other. They even get a celebratory performance for this episode.

I heard this show will continue to air though so this isn't the end yet.

Black vs. White, the fated competition. Their intro replacing OP.

Main guy is concentrated, and kouhai unit accompanying them.

Eguchi-san's character covering up well when Midorikawa-san's character in limit.

Since Fine wins, more fated competition against main unit.

It seems like Maeno-san's character left message on purpose to call main girl so that she can hear his answer to fine?

It seems like the long competition gave Maeno-san's character to think, and chose to remain in main unit. Grandmother's letter given by Eguchi-san's character also helped him choose his decision. He's too serious, though, and being guilty about betraying them.

KajiKaji's character vs. Eguchi-san's character. 2nd turn is two serious characters, 3rd is Morikubo-san's character vs. pink hair cute character. 4th is the main leaders.

Performance of HEART→BEATER!!!!

Realizing Midorikawa-san's character has a same feeling towards being idol. Fine wins, but just close votes. Extension but fine refused, so main unit wins.

Then singing OP together live (that's why it was not aired in the beginning). Then showing new characters.

Recap next.
I Two Syaorans from Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and TRC!!!

And next time, let's have tons of matches where we pour out all our souls.

...like? Yes? That'd be nice? I honestly can't remember actual matches, especially between these two units?

Here's my issue: I just don't know what all led to this conclusion where they're on a stage being all buddy-buddy, with Eichi giving a rather high-profile speech about what an idol is, and then everyone's just partying. I suppose it's part meeting the genre's expectations, and part lining things up with the game's version of the story. I'm not sure there was enough substance in the anime to support that, which is unfortunate. Trickstar fumbled around a lot, but then they were also absent a lot (the previous two episodes being a sort of flashback to before their time in the school didn't do them any service) - not only from the anime itself, but from each other's lives too. I'm having trouble figuring out where they pulled this song out they just performed at the end, together with choreography and everything. I know, I know: high expectations and all that. But still.

That bait-and-switch with the end result of the competition felt completely unnecessary too; but hey, at least Anzu is finally Anzu, instead of "foreign exchange student" or whatever - nice to see she earned as much after supposedly having been responsible for strengthening Trickstar's fragile bond and bringing them together: another thing I haven't felt at all. Like the whole "revolution" thing, which she mentions in the closing sentences again.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but overall this too felt a little difficult to keep track of and remember. Or maybe it's not just me: apparently there's a next episode coming, titled "Retrospective Special"...

I'm like, 10000% sure this anime is meant for fans of the original work.... I love all of it (heart beater too omg) but like, there are so many holes that don't make sense unless you've read through some of the events which have the true behind-the-scenes character-character interaction.... Anyways at least we're through the main story @@

Only your stars everyone ver. sounded a bit weird, was it just me LOL also Switch coming in at the end is ????
Leo, Madara, and Eden teased so I guess they're coming soon (yes plz I need my new Ryuseitai ending song)

I really hope this continues. I want more. I want to see if Mika will come back. And there’s still a lot about the idols we don’t know about yet. It would be nice if they did the events of the game.

I totally agree with everything you said! They tried to give Anzu some kind of importance in this episode, but failed to show HOW she influenced/helped the characters before.

Overall, this anime feels rushed and, for me, it's difficult to understand what is happening because there's a lot of random characters coming from nowhere each episode and we don't know which one will turn out to be relevant to the plot.

Trickstar did not deserve that win, just baffling really.

anime is far better when its about backstorys and deep character thoughts, the main plot whenever it surrounds trickstar directly just falls flat.

This felt like a final episode...

I'm glad Hokuto decided to rejoin Trickstar. :) I'm also glad they won.

It was almost the kind of ending to this arc I was expecting. Douchebag Eichi continues his shit, and now Hokuto is having second thoughts about being in Fine.
That Eichi actually called his parents to manipulate them would be enough that Hokuto is fully justified in getting violent at this point.... that kind of shit is unacceptable. You put yourself between me and my parents and you're gonna have a very bad day man. WATF
Then he reminds Hokuto he has a contract on him, before tearing it up "because he's such a nice guy!!" Pffffft... what a sniveling scumbag. He has already ruined several peoples' lives and smiled as he did it. Backing down when he's outnumbered and possibly about to lose the major competition doesn't make him "nice". But it's just the kind of twisted ethics I was expecting from this.
Trickstar performs and of course loses to Fine somehow... but then Mr Suddenly-Nice Guy is SO NICE he lets them win by forfeiting the dance-off or something. No idea, makes absolutely no sense. But don't question it- "LEADERS are great! Aren't LEADERS great? Follow LEADERS and do what LEADERS say! Powerful people have their reasons! LEADERS are your betters!"
Everything I said about him is unchanged. He's a lightly talented not all that special, mediocre performer who disrespects and manipulates people for personal gain. Do not follow people like this IRL. They are trash. Put them where they belong and move on.
