I mean look at Ataru, if anything she's being too lenient with his antics. 9 out 10 times when she does anything it's absolutely justified and he's at fault. Her rections can feel over the top because she has access to lightning, but if Ataru would behave somewhat decently and not always be an asshole that wouldn't be an issue. She'd be an adorable, loyal girlfriend. To me the difference between her and similar characters is that her male counterpart actually deserves most of the shit she throws at him. It's only yandere/obessive if it's irrational/undeserved imo. |

Back on topic Magical girls with giant robots Romanian vampire saving London Oh please, he had plenty of opportunities to get out of it or rid of her during the show but in the end he always crawls back to her when things get dicey or he gets lonely because he obviously likes her and wants to keep her around. He just only realizes that whenever she isn't around for some reason or other, because he's dense as a brick. He's just being a tsundere basically, and he wants the best of both worlds, a cute girlfriend at home who's always there and loves him almost unconditionally, and fooling around with random girls. You can't have both, and that's why he keeps getting in trouble. |

If you had called her pushy or short-tempered, I wouldn't have argued, because that she definitely is. But I still don't agree that she's overly obsessive or a yandere since those are defined by their irrationality to me, which just doesn't apply to her. Given the relationship dynamics established in the show beyond the first few eps, most of the time she's just reacting and not proactively obsessing about him irrationally. Sometimes she goes too far and is at fault, but more often he is. Technically I'm the only one discussing anything in this thread, the rest are just listing posts which are not allowed, so yeah. If the mods had already found this thread, it would probably be locked for listing anyway. It's all a matter of perspective, I guess. I'm not really interested in the 100th iteration of this exact listing thread, but I am interested in defending Lum and since she was mentioned that's still on topic as far as I'm concerned. *shrugs* |
