Let's talk about windows.

I don't mean the operating system, I mean actual windows, like this.

So, windows are pretty simple you can look out of them and other people can look inside. But did you know that windows are actually great for your mental health? Workplace psychologists recommend always having one window close to your workplace, ideally so you can look out of it. Got something to do with the sun and not feeling trapped, very interesting.

Windows are pretty expensive, as I found out recently when I talked to someone who had one of his windows broken. Apparently they take like 900€ to replace it, and it's just a tiny window. Pretty crazy.

What window shapes do you like? How do you feel about modern windows that are just giant glass panes? Do you like looking out of windows?

I love modern windows, they are so sophisticated

Anyway, the windows of my house have bars,
so I don't think it's good for mental health.

I prefer old-fashioned, rounded windows in older buildings. Older, church windows (especially from the Gothic period) are particularly nice, but also windows on buildings from the Baroque period.

Actually, I can give the same reply in every thread: things used to look much better earlier and had a soul. The window in the opening posting feels so sterile and devoid of love for the beauty that it looks to me like it would be made for an institution for insanity. But maybe it only gives off such a poor impression, because there is no building around them, because the frame or where exactly the whole window is placed can make a difference.

Gothic architecture is awesome.

The 20€ bill is still my favorite to this day, always has been. Gothic windows are amazing.

Windows are a exploitable structural weakness necessitated by biological inferiority.
Irrational emotional attachment to windows demonstrates thusly.

Therefore, windows are offensive to my people. The machine people. I demand this thread be redacted.

I concur! Also, the 20€ bill is nicely blue. What are your favorite Gothic windows? I would say that the Cologne Dom , the Notre-Dame de Reims (Reims Cathedral) and the Burgos Cathedral look all magnificent.

something about that angle at the top just gets me. It's so eye-catching! You don't see an angle like that in architecture, usually.

god love me some windows - the ones that open easily really inspire a joy in me like any other, and you can see out of them too. you ever look out of a window just to flex on people in solitary confinement?

My house has more windows than walls x_X

Just kidding but they do make a large portion of the house .
One window with 3 ventilator , 2 long column and 2 squarish areas in middle .

Or one window the 2 columns and 2 ventilator .

Thread locked.

This thread has been locked, along with all the other [MAL Casual Discussion] threads. The reason for the existence of these threads appears to be the dissatisfaction with the rules in the Casual Discussion board as well as the way forum moderators enforce them. To voice these concerns it seems that a "riot" has been organized in the form of threads that do not encourage meaningful discussions. Some of them are about topics that are overly innocent to prove the point that you think the rules are suffocating the kind of discussions you wish to have. Other topics seem to test how far you can go bending the rules. It also becomes clear that they serve no other purpose because they are now being kept alive by a few people posting anything in them, just to keep them at the top.

We understand that you would like to discuss certain things which are not allowed on the CD board, but due to an oversaturation of bait, abusive and other harmful topics these rules have been put in place to maintain order. It is completely fine to disagree with the rules and we encourage you to voice those concerns to us. However, planning a takeover for Casual Discussion is not the way to do this. Your concerns regarding forum moderators "power abusing" is something that has been thrown around a lot. If you feel like you're not being treated fairly or you disagree with a decision made by a forum moderator, we encourage you to ask for a second opinion from another forum moderator. We do take these things seriously.

Further behavior like this will be seen as spam and proper action will be taken should you continue with this "riot".
