Watching anime with others is so awkward and cringy, plus it's super annoying when you're trying to focus on the show and the other person won't shut up so you can watch.

I love watching shows with Certain friends. Some IRL friends loooove talking over the show nonstop, especially during dialogue. That heavily frustrates me when it comes to non-jokey shows, but I also have a group of friends that get the experience. We talk during the opening, maybe some silent bits that aren't meant for tension, and the endings. Anything else that needs to be said, and we pause the show. It's fantastic.

The person I watch with the most is my boyfriend, but I also watch a lot of stuff on my own. I'd say its a 60/40 split, the larger portion being on my own? Lately, it's been closer to 50/50 though.

Friends mostly, spoil the anime or don't want to watch it. Also my friends are also annoying (in a good way).

Alone, because I hate any human presence while I'm watching anime.

Same as him I hate it when someone is near me when I'm watching anime. I usually stop watching the anime and wait for them to go.

Either way, I prefer watching alone, not just because I like it better that way, but also because I've got the habit of talking to the characters or myself while watching anime. I only watch anime with friends when I want to introduce a certain anime I've already seen to them, or the other way round (doesn't happen often though).

I can relate to it to I do some time talk with the character.

There are pros and cons to watching with friends vs watching alone. When you watch alone you can start or stop at whatever time, the end. It just lacks the social factor lol. It is nice to watch anime with others though and I used to do it all the time. Sadly I can't watch anime with my friends anymore unless it is remotely because all my friends live in other states. Problems I have run into the most when watching with others is getting your friends there based around everyone's schedules. Then actually paying attention the whole time, and then figuring out when everyone's has had enough for the day. Then that leads to when is the next day to get together again to hopefully finish it. The worst is when you are super curious and wanna know what happens next but you gotta wait for your friends again. That is why watching anime movies together is usually the best option as far as finishing it fast.

Depends, If it's like AoT definitely with friends. If it's like romance and harem, by myself because my right hand goes out of control.

I don't have any friends that watch anime. I did on fact watch A Silent Voice with them, and had to sit through the dubbed version at their insistence, which ruined the experience for me. So I'll stick to watching alone from now on.

I really wish I had friends that I could watch anime with. It's not even that I don't have any anime-loving friends, it's that they don't have nearly the time I do to spare to anime since a lot of their other interests like gaming take priority.

I would love to have the opportunity since I always deliver a lot of commentary when I'm watching anime, even when I'm alone. Having someone else to bounce my ideas off of would be a godsend.

If it's trash then with friends. If I'm genuinely into it and want nothing to disturb me, then obviously alone. Usually binge watch in the middle of the night anyway.

Currently airing shows are nice to watch with friends though, since everyone has to watch it at the same time, no one can get ahead of another. Weekly releases also make it easy to talk about and hype up the next one to come

I'm a silent watcher, if i watch anime with friends they won't shut up and asking this and that and i have to answer them otherwise it disrespects them. Silent watcher in this case means i don't like talking in the middle of the show. So i watch anime alone and let the thought of certain scenes flying only in my head.

Unless the show is trashy laugh material, i watch it with my friends. I once watched Ghost Stories dub with my friends and had a lot of fun.

I tend to pay less attention if I'm watching with friends so I like watching alone.
