| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Wow, a series about beheading and some famous figures already appearing in this first chapter. Asaemon has my attention the most so far though especially with her questioning one of the characters about life. A lot of violence in this so far and I expect more to come. Seems like an interesting series so far. |

| Although I like the 'unknown world' setting, but I don't like the character setting. If the male MC is that strong, why bother being kept capture? I'd say a stupid start of character setting. |

Ryiebe said: Getting strong Fire Punch vibes, maybe that’s just me The author (Yuji Kaku) was the assistant to Fujimoto when he was working on fire punch You can see that this even looks kinda like Fujimotos art (very chaotic but also very detailed) but Yuji sensei abandons the chaotic nature of Fujimoto's art and just goes all-in on the detail another thing I'd like to clear here is the difference between ninpo and ninjutsu (at least in the normal sense, idk if that's different in the lore here): Ninjutsu is best described as the collection of skills utilized by the Ninja while Ninpo, often referred to as “the higher order of Ninjutsu,” implies a philosophy for living based on the principles of Nin (nin means both patience and stealth) Ninpo is concerned with the defence of the whole self and recognizes that defence against a life threat is dealt with by the spirit as much as with physical technique. But nowadays, ninjutsu and ninpo are used interchangeably so idk the official translation is pretty good cuz the proses are better in comparison to the unofficial one where it just sounds like they are speaking in a very modern way which doesn't exactly make sense as this is placed somewhere between 1600 to 1800 But I'm not a fan of how viz official translations just turn colour pages into gray ones Official:  Unofficial:  Good 1st chapter though |

| I really liked the first chapter, it was very interesting to read, a little from the customs of Japan, a little about different types of executions. The story of the protagonist is also very tragic. I wonder what will happen next! |
