... Hajime Saitou, the 3rd Captain of the Shinsegumi (Wolves of Mibu) from the Bakamatsu. Now known as Gorou Fujita, a policeman in the Meiji Era.

--

I love seeing Kenshin, Saitou and Sano teaming up, it's too classic.

The Kyoto fire is the diversion (still being carried out though) and the real target is Tokyo. They're going to create havoc among the Government and Citizens and make it into a temporary lawless area by feigning a foreign ship attack on the city (Inspired from 1858). Then it would be so easy to just walk in and slice/blow everything up for Shishio's crew. Quite a devious plan.

Let's see what our trio can do about it. Also, the Fallen Priest in Kyoto seems to disagree with the current actions, much to the benefit of the Oniwaban/citizens.

Right?! I loved that. I knew that guy would do something "heroic."

Well, I think that the plan to dive under the water and infiltrate it by blowing a hole in it kinda got thrown in the water. With such a structure, they can't get on it except if they board it with another boat. Or they could try to sink it, obviously. It make me wonder : did they at least warned the marine to stay in alert, in case a giant warship appear? I sure hope so.

Sanosuke/Saito relationship is freaking hilarious. Saito deadpan face always crack me up.

I must say that, even if I was pretty sure Misao wouldn't be killed by the blind guy, it had me stressed.

Yeah, from what I understood in the episode where he was training Sanosuke, he's more bitter toward the government because of a monk slaughter they did. He's not a killer like the other ones.

Yeah, was wondering when he'd do a evil laugh, other villains usually do it all the time. XD

Imo the evil laugh was completely unnecessary.

The whole series is awesome but this episode is wicked
To destroy a massive vessel with three tiny bombs... is too much, even for this anime

Kinda weird how the new leader of the Oniwaban is considering a purchase of the same weapon that killed a large number of Oniwaban members. I wonder if Misao was ever told the grisly details of that massacre.

The true appearance of the batteship was an impressive reveal. Incredibly subpar evil laugh for the main villain though :P
