1) It is impossible to have an exact date of when it will air 1 year in advance.
2) Spring season starts on beginning of April. It makes no sense for it to have first episode (May 3) an entire month late.

The manga is pretty much a pure romance story between Junichi and Yukana. The other girls are barely even relevant and not even introduced at all until quite a while into the manga, long after the main couple had their first kiss and started getting more serious about each other, which for reference hasn't even happened at all in the anime yet. Instead they threw all the side girls into the mix from the very beginning of episode 1 and they've been present all along. Any moment which resulted in any sort of romantic progression between Junichi and Yukana has been cut out completely, and instead it's been replaced by filler fanservice episodes like that hot springs one that didn't exist in the manga at all. Every side character has been attempted to be elevated to a main character, but unsurprisingly they have basically zero characterization to justify that alteration, and they keep taking away screentime from the actual main couple in the process as well. They've changed the character designs to make all the girls extra busty, and any sexual fantasy that Junichi might have about Yukana has been extended from a single text-light manga panel which you'd go through in two seconds into a full ecchi scene each. The list goes on. But in short the anime staff has basically completely misunderstood what the actual point of the manga was. It was supposed to be a genuinely original romance story between a pseudo-gyaru and an ordinary guy, and instead they've turned it into a plotless ecchi harem comedy. Even Junichi's male friends are way more prevalent here and they've somehow managed to make them infinitely more insufferable with all the awkward perverted gags they add to the mix. Maybe the anime staff thought it'd sell better if they did it this way instead, idk, but either way it's resulted in a far more shallow product than what it would have been had they just followed the manga instead. When the anime started airing I was probably the only person in my normal social circuit that had already read the manga, and when I started saying that this is completely different no one seemed to believe me, but as the season went on a few of them ended up trying the manga out as well and now they're all saying the same thing too. So yeah, just take my word for it. I guess this is why you shouldn't give any decent source material to a small studio that haven't done a single full-length TV-series in the last 3+ years. There's a reason why there's like a full point difference in the MAL scores between the manga and the anime

Considering how badly this adaptation botched the source (and the fact that there's not much material to the original source as it is), I HIGHLY doubt that there will ever be a season 2. Just be happy with the OVA that's coming.

Y'know what? I wouldn't even mind having 2 seasons. I watched 2 episodes of Hajimete no Gal while it was airing, and I'd say it was one of the shitter anime I've watched. Not the shittest, but still pretty down there.
But then, last weekend I watched it dubbed and laughed my ass off. The anime still had some of its bad elements, but I didn't really mind. It had great lines, and equally good voice acting (for the MC, at least. Not the main chick. Fuck her).
What I'm saying here is that another 10 episodes of the dubbed version would be appreciated.
