| There is no actual answer. It just depends on what season has the most shows you prefer. Like for me, I'd say summer is the best season of the year simply because of Owarimonogatari II. But fall season has more shows I'm hyped for so that's what I believe is gonna be the best season. I'm crazy hyped for Food Wars, Kekkai Sensen, March Comes in like a Lion and most importantly The Ancient Magus Bride which is my 2nd most anticipated AOTY. Winter, Spring and Summer are/were ok but nothing excites me more than the fall season. |

For some, it's having a couple of good shows they like (which, let me remind you, taste also varies a lot). For others, it's having an adequate amount of show they consider 8+ (which again varies). And for some, it's having a show that can conclusively prove that the deviation in the motions of stars usually attributed to dark matter is simply a product of a new view of gravity not as a fundamental but rather an emergent phenomenon. | So you just heard about it. Can I assume that you haven't watched any shows from the Winter and Spring seasons then? I suggest you watch some shows from the two seasons and judge for yourself. I don't think you can call the last two seasons bad as compared to Summer and Fall (also, Summer has just started and Fall is two months away). Just look at the anime released - BnHA, Shinwa Genroku, KonoSuba and SnK S2 Tsuki ga Kirei Kobayashi-san Kuzu no Honkai SukaSuka Youjo Senki LWA ACCA-13 And a whole lot more The Summer and Fall season also have really great anime. I guess I'll say that none of the seasons are bad this year. It's a overall good year for anime (as it was before and will be next year). I think every season has good and bad anime. |

| Everything depends on personal opinion. Persona a might be saying that winter and summer is better, but person b might say otherwise. Person c might also say winter is superior, and so on. |

| Summer 2017 is good and it look better to me than the upcoming anime in Fall 2017 so far However, I do agree with you about winter. Winter season often have the weakest anime. But winter 2018 might be better because we already have two great anime Nanatsu no Taizai 2nd season and Violet Evergarden |

| I remember reading that the Spring and Fall timeslots are more valued since it's easier to reach your target demographic, i.e. teenagers. In Summer they go on holiday which interrupts weekly viewing while in Winter they're busy revising for exams (remember Japanese school year starts in April) so don't have as much free time to watch anime. This of course has nothing to do with personal taste and season quality can vary a lot so it's entirely possible for Winter and Summer to be as good or better than Spring and Fall. |
