Stereotypes are not always reality, and there are many girls that watch shounen anime intended for young boys (many shounen anime end up having much larger fanbase of older women), and guys that watch shoujo anime intended for young girls as well (some shoujo anime have larger fanbases of older men too). It's just people watching what they want to watch regardless of the "gender role". Proving that the "that's for girls" or "that's for boys" is something outdated especially when it comes to non-sexual content. |
