I wondering is this can gain same level of popularity as lovelive and k-on (although only 1st episode now)?? Or just another typical setup of idol anime?? What are your opinion??

It's a little slow paced, it needs 24 episodes badly or a S2 announcement midway through or at the end.

I'd say it definitely has potential, especially with Good Smile Company announcing back in December that they would produce nendoroids for the characters (which was actually a huge draw for me to watch in the first place, as a figure collector). It doesn't seem like many Western fans have picked this up yet, but I think it could become quite a hit in Japan. It all depends on how the show progresses from here on out and how well it is advertised.

K-on did not have cg, so it is more like Love Live. K-on was before this cg nonsense. Not even the Love Live movie was free of it. What I wouldn't give to see an anime handled like the K-on movie where they showed them performing without cg. I would die of eye-gasm

I get the K-On association, but K-On was more about CGDCT. This seems more like light club Hibike.
