Well, that sure was a cliffhanger.

Yep, now it's quite clear that the male leader is breaking down mentally or infected. Another set-up chapter it seems.

Edit: English translations are out. Yep, the guy is infected and I'm assuming Miki is going to lead him to Aozoi the scientist to treat him.

And now it all makes sense, why that guy stubbornly believes the newcomers are the cause of their glasses buddy's death. he is infected... is the probably answer, but there's now proof of that for now.
and really, twintails didn't even touch the glasses guy before, so how did he die? the simplest answer is probably that everyone already is infected. no matter how you die, you will turn.

I don't remember the gang leader being in contact with the girls since this arc started, the closest thing was when he asked Touko to bring Kurumi in order to make some test... that didn't happen.

For a second time we have that mysterious... teacher? Locked in the faculty talking with Miki, and, once again, we don't see anything about this or the previous conversation.

But, the biggest thing I hate is that at this rate is going to be more than half a year before knowing what's happening with Kurumi.
Every new chapter is painful to read expecting the worst for the best girl ;-;

i'm really worried about kurumi. I don't think she is a zoombie yet but where is she going to find an antidote? Because they don't know the university and the crazy group surely won't help them.

And that boy is so annoying. I hope he dies soon. But i'm confused how he got infected.

I love this chapter despite its lack of Kurumi content.

Crazy boy seems to be infected, I still couldn't figure out the deal of his "girlfriend" there, if she's just a psychopath or if she has some inner motivations. Basically all the other characters are useless and a waste of space.

Onto Rii-san and Yukki. I really love Yukki's transition into a more independent and dependable character here. Now that she sees everybody falling apart, she immediately assumes the role to be their "anchor" without breaking her character. That's some pretty dope nuanced character development right there.

Yuki knows that she's the source of hope in the group so she doesn't let herself crumble, she's also more aware of the situation she's in and she tries her best to contribute. I love her character development so far and can't wait to see more!

Onto Kurumi. As much as I dislike the situation Kurumi is dealing with right now, especially considering her current state, I must say that her storyline so far is reeling to suspense and thrill which I absolutely dread and love at the same time(I'm living a paradox I know).

I would love to see Kurumi break down the walls she's built for herself. I know she does that to protect the people she loves around her but she can't bottle everything inside her or she'll explode.

And I think the perfect person to help her open up is Miki. She's been the only person who could see through Kurumi in the past couple of chapters, we have seen their relationship progress unlike any other in this manga. I think it has a lot of potential. And I'm not necessarily saying that they are heading in a romantic route(although I wouldn't be mad nor shocked if they did go there), but their relationship is very essential to each other's futures.

Which leads me to Miki. Miki seems to be the only rational minded person in the group right now. She's the only "sane" one left(although we see Yuki becoming more of that as time progresses which Miki has no clue about just yet). She carries all the burden they have, she supports everyone of them and tries to stick them together.

In a sense, she's the "strongest" they have in the group. And I mean it in both her physical and mental state. In a way, she could be their "super hero" or the "saviour of the day".

And now that her safety is being threatened by crazy dude, this is where Kurumiki's relationship is crucial. I think that Kurumi has decided to fully move away from the group or stay away from them to "protect" them from her. I'm still convinced that Kurumi's current physical state is not the problem, but her mental state. The more she thinks she's turning, the more her body wills her to turn, but she still has that strong denial in her which helps her fight back the urge to turn.

Having said that, Kurumi will stay away from the group. Yuki will try to convince her to come back to them but to no avail. She finds Miki in danger. The crazy dude bargains for her and Miki, she's conflicted between saving Miki or staying away completely. She ends up deciding to do the former which leads us to another suspense and drama and so on.

Of course, all of that are mere theory or speculations. I'm really excited to see what happens next and what will unravel.

Dope chapter, give it 9/10(just cuz Kurumi wasn't actively in the chapter)

I think she is locked with some infected to study them (hinted at the end of chapter 41) and had a long talk, maybe more than one, with Miki since she acts like she knows her.
Also is probably that Miki has told her about Kurumi's state from hints in chapters 44 and following.

I hope she has some cures like the ones in the basement in that lab.

Asshole characters are assholes, but they can really add tension and drama to a story.
