| Ohh someone actually translated the itadakimasu chapter. I remembered reading that and be like "Rem is best girl damn it" spewing two cool lines moments before her "death" Then I rethink again about how stupid was Rem in that scene because that cool scene killed her lol. One does not simply tell their name to an Archbishop of Gluttony, although in her defense, she barely knows anything about Ley. Now this is why I said that it would not fit in episode 25. There are a few reasons I can come up with: 1. the first epilogue (a chapter before this one) is a damned cliffhanger ending, the Re:Zero way of ending 2. this is a flashback scene that would not fit in episode 25 chronologically unless they put epilogue 2 (a chapter after this one). 3. they have to come up with what the 2 archbishops would look like since there are still no official pictures of them (unless Otsuka drew them already) 4. they also have to make a contract with 2 voice actors for 5. It gives more mystery to surround the series' ending of what happened to Rem. Which will attract more Remfags to watch season 2 to know what happened to Rem. 6. Not enough screentime. I said that the total end of the arc will most likely be the same but not that every single scene will remain the same as in the WN, that's what I'm talking about now. Who says that the entire epilogue chapter will still be at this position chronologically and that it will still be the exact same? It could be implemented into the main chapters which makes omitting this scene impossible. Other scenes could be rewritten so that they aren't as long. Arc 3 has been rewritten and refined a lot so who stops Tappei from revamping the composition of the ending while keeping the same endresult? Part of the entire transfer into the LN is to make it more soothing to read and easier to adapt it into an anime. All of this here is based on the assumption that Tappei won't change a single thing about any scene in the upcoming chapters which is, let's be honest very unlikely. Let's face the facts that no one can make any predictions about what will be in the last episode and what not until you have the LN in your hands and read it which won't happen prior to the last episode. |

Lol seems like every sin archbishop has his "my...trembles" line. If this will be explained in the future? Tappei nearly writes nothing without hidden agendas. |

Tappei simply giving Rem her dues here because of what happened. She has become another important figure in his life and should be accepted, that is all. Emilia has nothing to do with that and doesn't effect their relationship or Subaru's feelings for her. The epliogue isn't solely about Rem either, just one part of it. You're seeing it because thr TC is a big fan of her character. |

 Arc 3 Interlude III Part 2/6 is finally done! For a not very long segment, this gave me a lot of headaches! 4:30am it felt like all the translated passages didn't work at all. Then waking up 8:30am this morning it looked fine. Damn you brain! Here it is: https://translationchicken.com/2016/09/18/rezero-arc-3-interlude-iii-to-each-their-oaths26/ I managed to get through the whole segment without using "He/Him/His" to refer to Ferris. Whew. It feels more natural this way I think, keeping Ferris' gender ambiguous during the narration. If I use "he" it sounds like there is hair on his arm... Part 3/6 should be available late tonight |

The main difference is arcs mean the a chunk of ongoing story for WN (like Arc 1 is when Subaru first appearance in Lugunica facing off Elsa (episode 1-3), Arc 2 is the Mansion Arc (episode 4-11) and Arc 3 is Lugunica loyal selection with Petelgeuse's Arc's last boss (episode 12-25)) while volume just means the volume of the LN with volume 1 covers Arc 1, volume 2 and 3 covers Arc 2, and volume 4-9 covers Arc 3. |
