That's like every manga out there....
But I haven't watched as much anime as I have read manga, besides watching the animated version of the manga I read seems kinda pointless so I wouldn't know and therefore my answer wouldn't be rightful I guess?

Almost every single manga is better than its adaptation.

You mean manga adaptations of original anime? In that case probably never, but I don't see any reason to even try reading any of those so yeah

I did mean Manga bassed on anime. Not the other way around. Like the TTGL manga that came after the anime.

Manga doesn't have the pretty visuals but the story was more coherent and I found it more emotional overall.

Those don't even get translated the majority of times.

Akatsuki no Yona. Although the anime followed it pretty much page for page, everything looked way more cheesy animated.

What else did the manga do better? I'm debating if I should read it.

Like I said, pretty much page for page. Maybe I just read it as less cheesy, because I'm a serious person. I wouldn't go into it looking for an improvement, just as a continuation of the story. Yona gets quite strong. The anime just covers the parts where she is a fledgling starting out.

For "anime came first, manga came after" umm... still trying to think... like, during the era of 2-3 volumes based on 26 episode series, pretty much all of those suck. Now, they do adaptations of real length, so they're much improved, but if the anime came first, it's still better to go with it. The Wolf Children manga adaptation was pretty solid though. Better to go with the movie anyway.
The Tiger & Bunny Anthology series is a lot of fun though. That's because it's presented as spinoff stories from the main anime story.

For "manga came first, anime adaptation came after", the question is really "when is the anime ever better", because in those cases, the manga is of course better 99% of the time. Mushishi is the only one I can really think of where I prefer the anime, but the manga came first. Actually, Yu Yu Hakusho too, the long running shonen can actually add much needed extra development, or descend into filler hell, finding it in between seems tough.

You people seriously need to read before you comment on anything

It is "manga that comes after the anime", a "manga adaption of an original anime".

Manga is different with anime in term of capability of telling the story. Every adaptation, from novel to manga to anime to movie, had some portion that getting different treatment as the one that produce it want to get profit while they can satisfy the audience . So they compromise and getting decent and something different, although not in all cases, as we can see many adaptation able to get the main point that it mean to be.

Back to the point, so in manga better than anime , as they both had some different parameter couldn't be compare that easily.

Although that, i hope someone point the mistake in this opinion.

I liked Neon Genesis Evangelion better as a manga. It took out the shittier parts, adapted the ending to the OVA and is in a medium that I enjoy WA~Y better.

Don't know if these were said but Claymore, Soul eater, and Deadman wonderland.

The manga for these are much better than the anime that's based off them, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong the soul eater anime still is awesome as hell.
