It is underrated. Probably because many people only watched the first couple of episodes and then gave up on it. I really don't see why it isn't rated higher, it's great.

Yes its extremely under rated, its honestly one of the best shows in recent years, its understandable why its not for everyone cause believe me i know how niche it is, but i do think it deserves more recognition. I think the score for it sadly wont rise all that much when its over

There are things they could have improved on, but I'd say it's definitely underrated. It's a lot better than Shingeki no Bahamut IMO and one of the better dark fantasy anime in recent years.

I do too, but the second i saw a bit of the first ep i was quickly reminded of how badly the japanese are at camera work and special effects in live action, i still want to give it a go but from what fans are saying apparently this anime is significantly darker and more on the sad side than the live actions ever got which is a tad dissapointing cause thats why i enjoy the anime so much. They are still supposed to be dark but apparently they have more cheese factor but it never got to the melancholic feeling of episodes 17 and up.

All i know is that some people have said try to be patient with the live actions just like this anime needs, they apparently all start off pretty slow until picking up more in the 2nd half.

I'm already halfway through the first season of the live-action, it looks like it goes through the same monster of the week formula of a lot of Tokusatsu shows, except the content is geared more towards adults, I don't really mind though since that's sort of what in the first place.

You can't really expect very good special effects from a franchise that's just starting out, add to the fact it's already been a decade since the first season started so it's a little dated. I'm sure the production quality of the show will increase in the next seasons.

But yeah if you don't like cheesy stuff you might want to stay away from this.

Comparatively it's better then a lot of the anime out this season, that being said, it's not extremely underrated. I'd say it's probably in the range of a tad underrated to just right.

It just jumped from a 7.17 to a 7.38, might rise further depending on the finale tonight.

The first half was meh but the second half definitely made it a few notches above it's rating. Definitely underrated :(

Nah. I admit that it had a lot of great action, but I think the plot were very boring. the same old thing about the MC is saving the world and the new generation shall inherit what the old had. I mean maybe it's me that's too picky, but I wouldn't give it more than a 6/10. The animation and the action very good indeed, but except for that I didn't see anything more that I should say wow about.

I say this could be my favorite installment of the Garo franchise. I really love a Garo that actually develops. IN the tokusatsu, Kouga does not get any further development due to tabla rasa but they do make up for it by showing how he developed into the man he became through flashbacks and it develops its other characters rather well such as Rei and Kaoru. I say by having a 17 year old Garo in this series, there was room to have all that and it does it well.

The series is very true to the tokusatsu mythology and expands it. It shows that armor can be passed from maternal grandfather to grandson which has never been explored before and there was never any rule in the originally series which says that can or can't happen.

Mendoza as a villain was very chilling and sick.

The supporting cast all gave their contribution.

And Herman......

And the tokusatsu series has stars from Kamen Rider, sentai.........and even porn stars............

Absolutely. Granted, I can understand people dropping off in the beginning, but I feel if you get past the lull in the middle of the first season, it's hard to not stay engrossed from then on.

The whole second season was a ride.
