| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was fun. And I have to say, their teacher is quite something lol Fubuki's skills are still lacking a bit but I think that's what makes it more fun to watch. Same with her meeting with the other ships. Damn fog. Wait for BDs The training parts of the episode made me smile for some reason. |

| Akagi was literally on fire in the OP in some kind of Midway flashback. welp. It was an okay episode. Definitely one for players with all them references. -edit- It's also worth pointing out that next week's episode seems to be about Wake Island, and if this decides to proceed historically then not everyone will get out of this unscathed. |

| It was Okay. It was a love it or hate it episode. its very moe. Looking forward to see how the next operation will go. hopefully there will be more epic fight scenes/ girls sinking for epic moments. P.S that scene with Teitoku clearly shows this anime is targeted at fans. |

| It's nice to see Fubuki working hard like that it reminds me a lot of Strike Witches, Yoshika also needed a lot of training to get better. I also like the comedy it's very nicely done and it's making me look forward to next weeks episode. And that will be another assault which should be nice. |

| This is progressing really well so far. They are handing this anime very well in my opinion. Next episode is worrisome though. |
| OP is awesome! Yamato and Wo-chan!!! Poor Yuudachi feeling the wrath of Ashigara. The repairing/bath scene was unexpected but nice. Lol at Ooi, yup the yuri is pretty strong there with KTKM. Great to see Fubiki working so hard and getting better. ED is pretty nice too, will get used to it as it progress Next episode is gonna be interesting |

Akagi has some really LONG repair times, can go 24 hours+. Bucket will instantly complete the repair :)  |

They instantly finish the repair of a ship, no matter how damaged. WHile they can be bought for money as well, you get most of them for daily quests or expedition missions. Bigger ships, like Battleships or Carriers (like Akagi) are known to take an obnoxious amount of time to repair if they even take so much as scratch damage. Today my low level Aviation Battleship Hyuuga ate a single torpedo and was grounded for like 7 hours =/ |

| The teacher was funny early on, but other than that this episode was nothing short of dreadful. The main character does nothing other than irritate me with her extreme incompotence, and that girl who says Poi in every damn sentence is extremely irritating as well. Still nicely animated though, but it does seem like this is only going to be redeemable for that and for the battle scenes. Oh, and the OP is great as well. |

| Well, nothing too surprising really. The characters acting exactly as expected (seriously, all of them, always). I do care more about Fubuki now than I ever have when just playing the game, so that's nice. Decent OP. Appearances from the abyssals are always welcome :p. I'm a bit sad though at the same time because now it's pretty much set in stone which characters are gonna have SOME significance in the show - Taihou not being one of them. And what about the submarines? Unless I missed them, it doesn't seem like they'll show up either. At best they might appear in the background some time later. Oooh well nothing to do about that. I wonder if they'll ever include dialogue from the abyssals. "Wo..." lol Enjoyed it, but the main reason for that is still because of familiarity with the characters from the game. Think it might get better later on. We'll see. |
| Liking it so far, although It is sad that a great chunk of characters are there just to fill in the background (still more understandable than giving everyone 5 seconds of screen time making it harder to get some attachment to any of the characters). Also I am glad that the story is being centered around Fubuki instead of the story being focused around the other shipgirls like it's done in one of the official manga. Still, it's only the second episode, gotta wait to see how the supposedly serious stuff are going to be dealt with. Oh, and of course the lack of Shiranui is EXTREMELY disturbing. |

| I can't tell if I love or hate this. I am not a big fan of the fighting animation, usually this animation stuff does not bother me but I dislike the 3d fighting for any anime generally unless it is something like Majin Bone. I'll stick with it just to add it to completed but so far this is underwhelming. I really like the opening though. |

| It's nice to see an aspect of the game an anime was adapted from to be adapted in the anime. Stays true to the original and promotes the game more. I feel like I totally missed the OP and ED last episode because I just realized how good it is imo. Next episode is a mission. Yay! We get to see more missiles and torpedoes take out some monsters. |

| Poi! Great episode. Really shows how determined Fubuki is. That was also a spectacular curry plate. The next episode is based around Wake Island? That isn't good news. I'll just sit around happily reciting poi until the next episode comes out. |

Watch the OP Sequence again, then pay attention when They zoomed into Akagi and kaga. (Remember that these girls are like "reincarnations" and some of the girls remember their previous life as when they were real ships) Just wiki Aircraft Carrier Akagi if you want to spoil yourself a bit, real history though. |

| Both OP and ED songs are too epic for the light-hearted tone of the show, they make a false impression of something big is going to happen, but I doubt there will be any. This is a boring episode. Everything is loosely jointed. In one scene we were given time to learn about Fubuki, and the next scene we just get some random introduction of some characters and trivias from the game. Basically the first half is full of these, and it's not difficult to understand that KADOKAWA maybe the one demanding some of these content to be included in this episode, in fact, from these two episode I hardly feel any creative input from the production team but the sponsor overtaking the direction. The lack of focus and loose scene of flow really kills the show for both fans and causal. It's like The Idolm@ster all over again. |
