Out of those, Yu-Gi-Oh.
But honestly, Magic the Gathering is better than any of those.

Personally I prefer Go Fish, but that's just me.

To answer the question properly though I'd have to say Pokemon, that was the stuff back in the day man, all the other card games are just wannabes.

really, 'cause i never played before, but i learned how everything works. and i was gonna get some of those cards from wal-mart, but i got so caught up with yugioh, i forgot all about it. then later, bakugan battle brawlers showed up and i never played that either, but i heard it was good, since the anime.

I've only collected Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards when I was younger XD (I'm still young though.. don't ask my age!) I also played with them a few times but those rules were easily forgotten so I just collected them again... sigh good ol times.

That one they used in Kaiji ^^.

Well, dunno if it counts, but I'm fond of mahjong, specially the riichi style.

I used to think Magic was great, but they started to release way too many sets too fast IMO. Well, anyway Magic is the best TCG, that's for sure.

Science: The Hypothesis. Oh wai--- ;_;

L5R. Magic is too popular for me, it's so easy to find people who actually know how to play it, so I lose. L5R is popular in an obscure way. It greatly benefits from having many ways in which you can win, as opposed to the trite few ways of Magic.

Also, if it could count as one, Munchkin. Which just happens to be the greatest game ever invented.

I fancy making my own games now and then too, they tend to be sort of interesting. Moreso than any mentioned in OP, at least. Sadly yet moreso when I totally ignore game balance.

And these new cards are often so imba, like over 10/10. And then you've got the new Planeswalker type. You won't stand much chance if you've got mainly older cards.

yugioh used to be good, but lots of stuff happened. cards cam out that should not have, cards got banned that should not have, and upperdeck stopped doing sanctioned tournies. overall yugioh became a huge pile of crap. sucked too, cuz i was ranked 9th in the state for 3 seasons...

Although I still play, this is pretty true. Magic suffered (and continues to) from having far too many releases. Staying current can be expensive, and I don't know about anyone else, but once I build a nice deck I like to be able to use it effectively for at least a while. And that's not very easy with magic.
Artistically, magic cards are also the most fun. Of course it's a matter of preference, but the art on Magic cards is one of the bigger things that got me into art initially as a lad. Although,

Collected these too. Never got around to playing, besides with the brother. Pokemon was oddly not something I collected a lot of the cards for. I was much more interested in Digimon. They could talk, and looked cooler. ftw.

Some really old cards can be ridiculously powerful too just because the description was so ambiguous. Though I haven't kept up with Magic for like 5 years already, so I won't know much what's going on lately. But for a game with a giving life of 20, these 10/10 monsters seem more imba than some of the Yugioh monster cards as it has more than half of someone's total life. (But I guess it balances out since the cost of actually playing the card should normally take at least 10 turns or so, unless we get some lucky combo going.)

Though I still feel compelled to play the yearly Yugioh WC that comes out the DS/GBA for like the past 4 years or so. It's almost like the same reason of why I play still want to play Pokemon on the DS if the new Gold/Silver remakes come out.

lol @ 5 different mana sources. Damn, Magic has evolved quite well. The ridiculous cost and effect of this card is off the charts. Too bad it doesn't have trample. Wait, is there a better effect than trample now? Damn now I'm interested in Magic again. So many questions regarding this totally ridiculous card.

Magic: The Gathering, because it's main buyers aren't kids and teenagers.

If I had to chose one of those mentioned above, then I would say Yu-Gi-Oh, but only because I haven't played the others. I remember Yu-Gi-Oh to be pretty unbalanced, though.

Time stretch is a really good, old card (if you can afford it)

I've found that very few things can stand up against an Attrition/discard deck. It works particularly well if you can figure out a way to work it into a sliver deck. And banding has all sorts of potential when mixed with new abilities.

Man I loved the Urza block. Maybe I should get back into magic. I just don't like how the feel of the game has changed so much. The people who created Magic loved all sorts of things like D&D or Tolkien, so the cards were less refined, but the art and flavor text were better. Now you're lucky if you get flavor text at all, let alone something witty and interesting.

I just lost interest sometime around the Mirrodin block.

Yu-Gi-Oh, but only because when it comes to actually WATCHING the series its far more interesting than Bakugan. You can't even compare it to Chaotic--does anyone even play that? They failed by making the cartoon so much cooler than the actual game could ever hope to be.

I know someone might say the same with Yu-Gi-Oh, but they still keep the focus on the actual moves of the card game. Chaotic has the characters turn INTO the monsters and then have a real fight--how can a deck of cards compete with that? Chaotic would do much better as a video game.

...Actually, so would Yu-Gi-Oh, as I would much rather be able to see the giant monster summoned when I play. But the biggest problem with Yu-Gi-Oh for all fans is that, the show will always make the game out to be cooler than it actually is.

Watching the show, you see the game last for 10-20 turns or even better, with all sorts of ultimate monsters summoned, magic cards played, and trap cards tripped. But you know what the hilarious part is? Y'know those few episodes where a new villain or a new hero shows up and trounces some important player in like one turn or three turns?

THAT'S how the game really is. I can't count the number of duels I've had special fusion cards in that I never even got to play because I'd already won. :P Valkyrion the Magna Warrior almost never comes out when I run him, and I've used Ultimate Baseball Kid and Level B - Level Limit to completely stomp my opponent without ever even summoning anything not Level 4.
Jumping in Headfirst - I hear reading it causes immortality. Warning. Reading may not actually cause immortality.

not entirely true. most new cards are much more balanced than old cards simply because wizards has a better idea of whats going on now. they have yet to release another card as ima as dark ritual or black lotus.

and I don't know about anyone else, but once I build a nice deck I like to be able to use it effectively for at least a while. And that's not very easy with magic.

just build a"TES the epic storm deck." best deck in magic period and will be until they ban tedrisl of agony. wins on turn 0 50% of the time and turn 2 80% of the time. look it up. if you want a good deck that you wont have to replace, get this deck.
