Title says all.

Personally I think I'm quite blessed with my hometown. Had a decent youth here, and it's very safe around here. The downside is that sometimes it's quite boring, for many exciting events I have to go to different cities because not a lot happens here.

How about you?

I live in a very small, rural area. The people here are somewhat friendly, but the downside is that there's virtually no jobs. I'm one of the "Stubborn Few" under 30 that didn't pack up and leave after high school.

Nonetheless, I'm fairly content with my hometown.

No I'm not content. Even of I like it here, I believe it could do a lot of improvement.

My hometown is generally a pretty safe place to live, but there absolutely nothing to do here, no events or anything.
Its still nice though.

Sure. It's not the safest place to be, but it's far from a shanty town.

The best local fare is 30 minutes driving in any direction.

I live in a village with ~900 inhabitans.
Nothing ever happens where I live, and I'm totally fine with that. I can leave my doors unlocked at night.

You can smell cow manure when you roll the window down most of the time, and since I like the smell of cow manure, it's pretty good.

I don't live in my hometown anymore, though I'm only 40 miles away now. Going there gives me a mix of good and bad memories. I still go there to visit my grandparents, and I'm going back for a july 4 barbeque at a friends, and another friend's daughter's birthday party in 2 weeks.

As a town, it's ok. There are ups and downs. Growing up, I lived 11 miles from the nearest supermarket, and my high school was about 25 miles away. I would help on my best friend's farm with her cleaning the stalls, and sometimes we'd ride the horses down to the supermarket out of boredom. I used to walk home barefooted on our dirt road, and pick blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries from the bushes that ran along our road to snack on. I miss doing all of that. I will go and visit my next door neighbors that I grew up with sometimes still. I heard from some class mates that still live in the area that there has been an increase in city slickers moving in, taking drugs with them. There were a few meth lab busts in the area.

I live in a suburban area now, and I love the convenience of where I live... but I really see just HOW out there I grew up when I go back to visit... and I think "wooooow, it's too far to get from here to there" when I thought it was just a normal distance as a kid :)

I don't live in my hometown, only lived there my first two years of life.

Now I live in the outskirts of a veeeeery touristic town.

The transport services are quite shitty here, cabs are expensive and the buses pass by each 30-40 minutes, the town itself is small but there are lots of people on weekends, holidays and festivals, there are a lot of foreing tourists as well.

I'd rather live in a bigger place with more shops and whatnot, but the one I lived in before wasn't very safe and the safest is too big for me. I'm afraid of big cities.

The cultural events are what keep me here, concerts, expositions, performances, galleries, museums, but the cholos make me sigh

I'm on plain, I can't complain.

I moved away from it before I could even make any real memories & even after that we never stayed at the same city/town for too long a time, so I don't think of any specific place as my "hometown".

My hometown gets blackouts a lot despite the fluctuating electricity price.
We also have (not just the hometown) the worst internet out there.
It gets so fucking hot that people's mood get affected by this.
People like to eat a lot.

My hometown is similar, I'm actually still living in it temporarily (for the summer) before I go off to school again in August. There's absolutely nothing in my city besides some fast food places and wal mart, so I have to drive quite a ways to a large city that actually has a mall, movie theater, bookstore, and whatnot (which sucks, don't always have the gas $ to do that).

When I finish my education I'm hoping to live in or very close to a large city, just for convenience's sake. I don't like having to take a long drive whenever I want to go out to have fun.

It's a nice hometown. Though there's a huge dividing line between the rich and the poor out here (inner city is where all the poor are at, the coastal region is where the millionaires live).

The only thing I don't like are the people here. I left not only to move closer to my current school, but to get away from the people there. That might change though and I may visit more often, since the girl I'm talking to is from my hometown.
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

Not really. Nashville is not a bad town by ANY means, but I'm not the kind of person that just wants to stay in one place for his entire time.

I'd much rather branch out to elsewhere.
☕ Truth be told, I'm quite proud of my house blend. To attain my flavor and fragrance, I use five different types of coffee beans. ☕

Besides the retardedly high cost of living, my home city is pretty awesome; convenient, temperate weather all year round, relatively safe neighbor unless you drive 20 minutes away, and tons of people to interact with (including hobos who talk to themselves o_o).

Hey, going downtown gives you cancer where I'm from. And summer here basically means staying inside all day with the fan turned on high. Oh, and not to mention there's a shooting at the local high school every few days.
Yup, I love my hometown.
