| Noticed a lot lately that a bunch of people are already aware of people randomly sending friend requests and the amount of random friend requests out there. And the thing is, they don't even send you a comment or anything when they do so. What I'm curious about is why they do it. Because they're bored? Because ... hell I can't think of a plausible reason other than the fact they're bored. But surely someone here could offer a much more plausible answer. The other question would be, why would anyone accept them if they've never initiated a chat at all? Even a simple hello could start something. Damn it anonymity. Damn it all. ): |

| You can turn that feature off. What I am wondering is why can people randomly view your profile. You can turn off lists and even commenting on your profile, but why can't I turn off everyone but X designated people to view my profile? Whatever the limit is for blocking people isn't enough. | Hmm. Maybe they like your taste in anime/manga and in order to keep track on you they want to be your friends. You'll be like a Recommendation page for them and in order to navigate quickly from user to user they just go to their Friends List. Just a theory. |

| the same reason that they randomly talk to people, to an extent. a good example is when we first arrive at college freshman year, pretty much anyone will introduce themselves to anyone if not only to make sure they have at least one friend. i think. i dunno. i actually never add anyone. |
