| The hype for this anime comes basically from the premises which hasn't actually been explained in the first episode, but since all the LN and manga readers know just how good the plot is, and just how OP the two MCs are, and of course how helpless the old king's grand daughter is, we really can't be blamed for giving it the score that we think it deserves already. Personally I gave it a 10, and that was solely based on how they adapted the anime from the manga. Whether they keep to the manga/LN will determine whether the rest of us fans will drop our score, but if they follow the proper order of things, I believe most anime only viewers will definitely come to see just how great this series is. |

NGNL is just popular because there are way more gamers than otaku and this series is literally like a blowjob in terms of self-gratification. Sadly, I don't care about compliments that are just there to make me buy into a certain premise that has nothing else to offer. Many people love being complimented like this, though. |

This season sucks because there's just too much consistently popular shit in it. If only everyone in japan was an unpleasable hipster like yourself. Anime might be good. | I've not read either, I've just seen the episode. However, so far this series seems mostly the best of a bad bunch. All of the new stuff airing (excluding sequels) just seems to be a bit of a let down so far so it looks good by comparison. The ratings do change as series air though. Also the art definitely helps it. |

| The other first episodes had pacing issues. Felt like they're just trying to shove tons of info in my face. This one flowed pretty well for me other than the falling down from sky part where the god is listing all of the rules. |
