| I liked that distraction plan. It's good to see Naruto and Sasuke working together. Though I still think that Kakashi shouldn't have been trapped that easily, but anyway it leads some good things :P |

| The test about the 'ninjas having to kill other students in order to pass' gave off this Battle Royale feel for a minute. Plus, Sakura should actually start doing something instead of crying Sasuke's name every time he gets injured. |
| Sakura was meant to represent human weakness, however that is no excuse for her being so lame as we are later introduced to another character meant to represent the same thing and he is MUCH more awesome |

| Rewatching! Absolutely amazing. I remember when I first watched this 4 years ago how amazed I was at the teamwork and smartness of Naruto. |

| A lot of annoying music and useless talk, until the last few mins they didn't even do anything. Also, I don't get why Zabuza was just standing there, letting them talk and cry and make plans. He could've just killed them in an instant and then he'd be over with it and could proceed to kill Kakashi and then he'd be done with that and could go home. Anyways, I like the plan Naruto came up with. |
| This episode dragged a bit, but I still really enjoyed it. I didn't like how Naruto was being so scared again, but very glad that he remembered his hand and his promise. Plus, when Naruta and Sasuke work together, they are awesome! I still feel like Sakura is essentially worthless so far, which makes me sad because I kind of like her. ★5/5 |

| Narutooooo, such great thinking! He's got good fighting instincts, I'd say. It's kind of like what he tried against Kakashi just a few episodes earlier. Again we see Naruto being really scared during a near death situation, I love that since it makes him seem more human. Great teamwork though, Sasuke immediately realizing that the shuriken was actually Naruto, amazing. Definitely surprised Zabuza. As for Zabuza just standing there while the flashback was going on, lol, honestly by now, it's a thing with almost all action anime, or at least with all battle shounen...there will always be scenes where the enemy just stands there (or even boasting or just talking) when they could've just went for the kill immediately. It's just part of "anime logic." |

| Damn, all those 'SIKE!' moments and exaggerated faces. It was like I was watching a shounen anime parody. This episode also had some One Piece level of dragged out pacing. The previous episodes had much better fight scenes and their animation. |
| The flashbacks seemed a little excessive considering this was only the 8th episode, but the combat was really dynamic and fun to watch |
| That combo at the end was pretty smooth from Naruto and Sasuke. The fact that the two of them could work together to pull that off without having to communicate verbally is very impressive as well. |
| For me, the fight was too long. They also constantly confuse us with these clones and substitutions. This is somewhat tedious. |
