This is so fucking stupid. The one single thing even remotely close to being interesting are the background characters, maybe the animation (even though they recycle shots). Everything else sucks.

I played the game so i know some stuff, but even if i was a new viewer i'd have SOOO many questions from the get go, which indeed makes it very interesting (like say what's with the halos, why are there animals and robots around, why are they bulletproof, why are there circles in the sky, who the heck is the girls bleeding out in the start, why the main girl has 4 ears, etc, etc). |
| Well, that was certainly anime. I don't think I've seen more bullets being fired and missed any target since probably B-Train's Noir. By the looks it feels like it doesn't even make an effort to introduce the audience into this post apocalyptic world and most likely it's entirely aimed towards the already hardcore fan of the original game. I'll give it 2 more episodes, I'm sure the whole desert world, girls with guns and the need for a teacher that will magically improve these girls marksmanship will come in the long run. I'm just testing the waters to see if I can handle whatever BS they will throw in 2 more episodes to decide if I should watch it all the way. _ATG_ said: Good to see that they are going the route of show not tell when it comes to their halos or how they are resistant to bullets. | Well that was kinda... bad. Seems like the score on this one is massively inflated by the large amount of biased game fans. At least some of the characters are neat, maybe it gets better and just weak start. |

| No way they showed stuff from the Final Volume lol. Studio going for a full adaptation seems unlikely so I'm gonna assume they showed it only to hype the viewers and hopefully, make them support the anime project. Fantastic premiere overall. I'm honestly surprised with how good everything looks and the OP will certainly be among my favorites of the year from its visuals alone. Only complaint would be Sensei looking like another teenager but I guess you can't have everything in life. Anyways, looking forward to seeing my beloved Rin and the Problem Solver girls. Also Hina, of course. |

It's about showing a bunch of nonsensical content and expect the audience to have the patience to wait until it finally gets good. It's like Homer's snow plow ad (that it was a parody to perfume ads) it's totally nonsensical and at the end the target audience doesn't know what they are supposed to be buying. This is a terrible choice from a perspective of luring new audience to a stablished ip, and most new audiences would easily just watch anything else from the 30 or so new series airing this season. Heck the Train to the end of the world does have a rather similar setting and did it way better in it's premiere episode. |

that was really boring. The characters felt super bland, exposition felt lazy and rushed, it felt like the relationship between the girls and the sensei guy was also quite rushed since there was literally no conflict or even so much as hesitation in his acceptance. Maybe the story works in game format but from what ive seen so far it is not playing out well in anime form. Atleast the animation was pretty solid although not super standout aside from the op
| @Peenutz Sensei is a member of SCHALE which is a recently established federal club tasked with solving random problems around Kivotos. One of the girls from Abydos (Ayane) sends a letter to Sensei hoping he can help them with the Abydos situation, since everyone else she has contacted has not helped. So Sensei helps them because it's his job and responsibility, and the girls accept Sensei because they asked for his help. |

| @Kimurah I feel like you're kinda over-analyzing and looking too deep on the first episode. I need to watch Train to the end of the world, but I'm pretty sure from looking bits of the show, they're completely different in terms of tone and what the setting will be. I think the issue is that you're expecting Blue Archive to be a post apocalyptic world. when it's not. (Yeah, I read the comment you posted earlier) Tho, I do blame the anime for skipping the prologue, which made you thought Kivotos was covered in desert. It's only in the Abydos district bc of , which the anime should cover it later. The story clearly wants to focus on the characters and the wacky side of the world-building first before explaining everything before dumping everything else. I can kinda see what you're coming from, but I think you're having a certain expectation that's not even an issue and more of a preference. I'm not even trying to be bias. If you have the patience to keep going, I hope it'll explain what you wanted to hear in 2-3 episodes, if not, that's fine. Blue Archive doesn't want to go balls deep with its lore at the start of the story. |

| Epic OP, I love it! The animation was rather too weird and inconsistent, or more likely to be animated like that. Comparing the animation to the game was somewhat decent but it's not my ideal animation for the series, but it was still a nice animation indeed. Only Ani-One has it, thankfully. |

I'll just say this now, if you're still expecting that then it will not happen, the only way to kill them is to destroy their halo, and it sure takes a damn lot of effort to do that. It doesn't mean they don't feel pain though, long enough exposure to rounds can also break it piece by piece. |

| Yeah... this is just over rated by the fans of the game. It's watchable, but it just kept reminding me to Certain Scientific Railgun. I'll give it a few more episodes to deliver that supposedly wholesom story, that people are talking about, but I'll not get my hopes up. The setup only makes sense inside a game environment. The characters are boring and one dimensional. Their design is just a collection of fanservice cliches. And I can't get over the idea, that the "cat girls" have 2 pair of ears... come on. Even Nekopara was able to pay attention to a detail like that... |

@Renkini looking at some other pages that discussing the anime, you're being mocked for not knowing the importance of Vol 1 to the other Vols

| @Jim2tolive Lol they can mock me for all I care, I don't give a shit. I've been mocking the entirety of MAL on Discord with my friends too. It's just my opinion. I've been playing the game on JP server for 2 years now and I've read the story inside-out in both Japanese and English. Of course I know Hifumi will be introduced here and she'll return in Vol 3 but I just don't see how that's significant enough to adapt the entire Vol 1 into anime. They've already skipped the entire prologue here in anime so I don't see how it's so hard to edit some stuff and make Hifumi your first time meeting (or show with some flashbacks) if they adapt Vol 3. And... "this is the reason Hifumi got sent to the Remedial club in Vol 2" Vol "3". Vol 2 is all about Millennium and Hifumi doesn't appear there. Get your facts straight before you start lecturing someone. |
