So, I can call anythin' that was aired about 9 month ago "a recent episode"?

Yes, if it's the most recent episode. Like recent episode of Gundam Unicorn that aired 13 months ago or the recent movie of Evangelion that aired 17 months ago
Then i suppose 9/11 had just happened "Recently"? Ah, in that logic, I feel like im 2 years old again, whereas in reality i'm definitely older than that.

Your time span of "recent" is off the charts. If you were implying that an attack such as this one has happened 100 years ago to this site, only then can you use "Recent" in that logic, being as you have some type of time span to compare it to. But it hasn't, so using "Recent" to describe an incident that has happened for the first time 9 months ago, you can't simply say that 9 months is considered recent.

I think you need to be introduced to Albert Einstein's theory of relativity my friend.

If I covered up the YY music, I don't think it would be as funny.

Anyway, I'll probably do the next one in a month if img isn't back by then.

What if I dont believe in that theory??
I dont recall saying anything in opposition of that theory. Im simply stating that 9 months isnt considered recent in this particular situation.

Right, well that is where the problem lies. Again, you are in serious need of an introduction to Albert Einstein's theory of relativity. Since you refuse to use Google...

Albert Einstein states that "time and space is relative to the observer". Meaning, what might seem recent to one person may not be recent to another. Observation of time is a matter of opinion, but because you insist that 9 months must be considered non-recent by everybody, you are clearly in opposition to his theory. Also, there's not much to "believe" here; if you think its a matter of believing, I guess gravity doesn't exist either (since it is also a "theory").

Fair enough. we all jump to conclusions You know, I might just become an anti-relativist and include things such as common sense or practicality.

Actually, maybe barring the DDoS attack that took the site down for a few days, previous attacks were a lot worse to my understanding and required actual rollbacks. In terms of being tedious, I think it's safe to say that this attack was a high contender.

Edit:In accordance to all the updates, finding a plausible solution to img codes is primarily to counter it from happening again, which also requires coding. With that comes hassle, and a lot of it.

1. What does BBCode have to do with it?
2. I think MAL updater works for me (I don't update my list through it, but it retrieves my list at least). Do you use the latest version? As I had to update the program first in order for it to work
3. Didn't get what you mean by "the whole captcha thing". The only case where it appears I know of is Incapsula, so, erm... Was your MAL Updater blocked with Incapsula, or what?

It seems a lot of people are reporting problems with logging in to MAL Updater. See the club discussion

It takes some significance, but I said, it's incomparably lower to, say, my posts in episode discussion threads. So while not having [img] is a little inconvenient for me, having all my posts in a month disappear would be like a disaster for me

Need i mention that CD stands for Casual Discussion? Even if some of the discussions can get repulsive, you're bound to find one decent discussion.
You can also try Current Events. Discussion is encouraged in those threads.

If bad comes to worse, there's even a chat thread.

But i'm not insisting you stop posting here. We needs posts, otherwise crave online will figure we don't give a rats @ss about img codes, whilst I for one do

They have an account, so here's to hoping that they bother with this kind of stuff. I take it if the Users didn't bother posting here, the mod's would fall under the impression that we can care less about img codes. If that were to happen, we wouldn't have heard an update 1 week ago, let alone 4 months ago.

I don't give a damn about CD or Current Events. The only board I may be interested in is AD, but the discussions on this forum are ridiculous. Most of the people don't even bother reading what other people post.

Alot of ppl are linking their sigs and posts to this page for the userscript that fixes IMG/YT for your view (and everyone else who has the script installed):
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/410598

Thats great, but unfortunately Userscripts.com is having a lot of problems in the last two weeks and ppl are unable to use the Install button to get the script. So Veriti put up a new install link you can use alternatively:
http://torn-pages.uk.to/experimental/img_enabler.user.js

btw you must first have the proper add-ons either Greasemonkey (Firefox) or Tampermonkey (Chrome) to use this script properly. Both are free and install in seconds. And topic for the script is here, any updates get posted in it: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1139521

Oooooh, I was confused for a second....I see what's going on.

The embed seems to be working, but it doesn't display yet so it just vanishes when you put it together.

I thought it was just random img code popping up in your message from quoting, which seemed odd.

Well that's what MAL does, as long as the problem(img tags on the forum, signatures, signatures not updating, etc) only affects the extreme minority(forum users) they will take their sweet ass time. But as soon as it affects the majority(the 99.99998%) of the site who mostly use it as an anime database and list, they get on it. That's why this year instead of disabling BBcode everywhere, they left it on clubs and about mes.

They left it on profiles and club infos at my request. Last time it was disabled, we had problems with users who had HTML instead of BBcode for weeks after...

But yes, we're getting closer to getting [img] back. As I said in the other thread, I've notified Xinil about the problem. Hopefully Crave'll revert/fix the change they made shortly.

I had it but deleted it weeks ago, I now just disabled greasemonkey to make sure it wasn't one of my other scripts and it's still showing up.

I believe it's the same pics that disappeared earlier are going now. And by disappeared I meant when they completed the bbcode and instead showing it still there, the code disappears. The bmp pic that Chili posted hasn't shown up on my end.

Opened the Profile Edit page again to see html code where the BBcode used to be. Converted it all back to bbcode, exited and the same thing happened, reopend editor and poof I was looking at html code again....strange!!!!
