| A common error is to assume any drawn in a quasi manga anime style is actually anime and or manga. Take for example Final Fantasy. It's not anime or manga, but being of Japanese art style ori gins people just dump the term anime on it. It's computer generated graphics for a video game. Just looks like anime. Same goes for my fav Hatsune Miku. She's not anime. She's a computer generated image meant to be the visualization of a program designed to render songs. Beako as mentioned by Father Anderson is an anti loli meme that seems to be well liked on the Sankaku site. Mascots are not unpopular. I like seeing the variations that Animesuki produces for their site host mascot Kairin (who is looking very nice currently). |

| Hopefully someone prompt my faulty memory. I recall an anime where a group of people were trekking across a winter landscape trying to get away from someone/thing. I am pretty sure they were heading to a particular place and that place may have been something like Taiwan. I really can't say for sure. It was kind of a post apocalypse/dystopian thing. I remember the ice and snow landscape but and the "getting away from" but that's it. It was action/adventure and sorta Sci-fi. At least 5 or 6 years old. Ring any bells? Sorry to be so vague but that is all I remember. |

| Anyone know an anime, I think it was a harem or something, the main character was talking to a minor side character I think, and she had a burn or some kind of scar on her back, and she said that her grandfather told her that with that scar, no one would marry her so she had to learn how to take care of herself. And the main character guy said something like "That's a horrible thing to say to your granddaughter," or something like that. Ring any bells? |

(The two right after Haruhi) I think the first one is Mouse. I don't know the first one after, Haruhi, but second one after her appears to be Yin from Darker than Black. As for 2:44, assuming it isn't a type, the only animated segments around there are Superman and Teen Titans, which are cartoon adaptations of DC Comics, not anime. (swords and armor time period) i think they get hurt - im not sure - they find a hut, in the hut there is this woman, seems to be some kind of witch. she takes care of them, telling them not to go into the back room. the main ends up going in the back room - where i think there was a dead body hanging upside down.... the witch and main char fall in love? ...other than that i also remember him going to sleep in the forest, and he wakes up 300 years later - post apocalyptic world - starts looking for witch. |
