| didn’t mind seeing bellamy get knocked around love the new OP, it’s already up there as a favourite, and i reckon the new ED will grow on me i hear a lot of people like foxy and that this arc is filler but enjoyable at that but since i smashed out the end of skypiea and the last arc in one sitting, this is my stopping point for the night |

| Dang new animation style. Much brighter. After 200 episodes it was little bit jarring. Another odd island lol. I wonder if Don Flamingo will be the big bad of this saga. If he can control anyone movements that be pretty tough to beat. Even for Luffy. Definitely seems more powerful than Crocdile or Mohawk. |
| Whoa as soon as I finish G8, new high quality animation, new opening and ending and everything's now in widescreen! This is great stuff! I really do love opening 5 Kokoro No Chizo is definitely another banger of a song that I have now got in my head and I really do like how the ending is essentially showing the Straw Hats in their outfits from the past arcs as well as showing little details in there to represent things like Alabasta, Drum Island, Skypiea, etc,etc, before wrapping it up with the arc we are currently on right now. Pretty good stuff on both ends I'd say. Anyways on with the actual episode, I feel it started out good for me, the Going Merry as well as Luffy and co end up back in the sea, they say goodbye to their little octopus friend is nice stuff. But what I wasn't expecting is for me, the viewer, to see Mock Town again, but not only that, Bellamy reappears but this time he's got Doflamingo there with him. And the guy is literally is his boss! So Bellamy was hired by one of the Pirate Warlords, one of the most strongest and most powerful people in the world of One Piece and I was really not expecting that to happen! Doflamingo up to this point, was a character that was introduced way way way back in Alabasta for one scene in one episode and that's it. Here, we are now getting to see him in action, he literally has a Devil Fruit power that can manipulate people's bodies from the looks of it because he was literally having Bellamy's right hand man just slash him repeatedly and just the fact that he walked away while that was happening while his goon was begging for forgiveness was just stone cold from him. I mean what a way to establish his character. The guy's menacing, brutal and just doesn't tolerate failure at all. I know he plays a big part later on in One Piece but man he was probably the best part of that whole episode for me. Back to the Straw Hats so they end up on another island and it's essentially a island where everything is long. Including the trees and the animals. Pretty self explanatory there. So yeah not much say it's a weird island and I don't have anything against Toniji I mean it's nice that Nomads are a thing in One Piece but I dunno the whole: "Whoa this island is so long! This is crazy!" gag kind of went on and on for my liking. But I will say regardless I feel about the "Long" gags in particular, the episode was mainly good if not for the appearance of Doflamingo in the middle of it. Even if he was there for a short while anyway. |
