| This was the most enjoyable train wreck of an anime I've seen this entire year! Didn't read the VN by the way, so the anime is both bad as a standalone AND as an adaptation (According to what the original VN readers said anyway...)! |

Kenichi Suzumura didn't fit George, and everytime Maria talk I just thought of an evil Hanyuu. Lack of Norio Wakamoto as Kinzo made me sad. The again Norio's to good to be in something this shitty. If anything Ohara deserves the highest attention for her godly performance as Beatrice. |
| Well, it was an end (of the first half). It was okay, for me. Since Chiru (animated) won't be out for quite some time, I'd better try watching/playing the VNs. Being an anime-viewer only, this anime was actually good. No comparisons to Higurashi for me. XD |
| umineko has 8 game in total..in anime it just till 4th game, so be patient and wait for the 8th release.....so we will get the next really GOOD end!!! |

| Well it ended in a mediocre cliffhanger which I guess I should have expected (not that I thought we'd get a definitive ending even if it was adapted well). Overall it was a good concept but badly executed, started off well and just got worse and worse as the series progressed. The story had potential but meandered in places while being rushed in others while the characterisation was fairly awful. The animation was erratic and inconsistent but I thought it looked good at times. 6.5/10. |

I SAT TROUGH ALL OF THAT SHIT FOR THIS??? there was absolutely no f*cking resolution to anything... i only watched the anime and have never seen the vn's as pretty much 90% of the people who rage here have...and i can still rage at this anime. IT HAD SOOO MUCH POTENTIAL. like, the characters, a lot of them anyway, were really great. Ange, Lambda, Bern, Beatrice, Maria....were all an amazing main cast, and I must say, although Eva was a piece of shit I thoroughly enjoyed watching her. I imagine the VN must be god compared to this shitshow of an anime. I'm extremely inclined to look into the vn's now or at least read the manga. Is the manga even worth it? or is that shit too. omg so much anger. i hate when an anime that could have actually been worth my time gets turned into this. even the music and VAs OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG how could it have ended this way.............. i can't even rate this show. i have so much rage and i refuse to give something that I could have actually liked a piss poor rating... and in conclusion: this shit doesn't hold a candle to higurashi..i can't believe its even related. the end. |

| Eh, let me start off with saying the following: I liked the anime. Better than I liked Higurashi, since that seems to be a major point of discussion around here. The shitstorm may now ensue. Sure, halfway through it got progressively worse, I'll give you that. I'll also give you that the ending is rather bad, really disappointing. There's no real conclusion, Battler's explanation is far too vague and him winning is partly contributed by Beatrice letting him win each time just because his explanation 'could' have taken place or was just that extraordinary. However, the first three arcs were definitely enjoyable for me. Most of the time, I was actively thinking along with Battler, trying to find a way those murders were possible, without magic of any sort. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time; something I didn't have while watching, let's just say something for the heck of it, Higurashi. Sure, some parts might have been butchered by DEEN (the goat scene, or so I have heard; I have not actually played the visual novel), but I'm fairly sure for most who haven't played the visual novel, that those arcs were absolutely an enjoyable run. The fourth arc felt rather dragging. I'm pretty sure some of the parts could have been cut down for a bit, but that's just my opinion. Anywho, I'd love a second season to clear up and finish up some things. I'd definitely watch it. All in all, I can safely give this a solid 8/10. While the ending left something to be desired, it was definitely interesting as a whole and it gave me a bit of that Phoenix Wright vibe. I might read the visual novel one of these days, if I feel like it, but I'm not really the kind of person for visual novels. I'll see. Please note that this is just my personal opinion, feel free to disagree. |

| I don't care how much of a cliffhanger this was. I interpreted it as the end of the questions and on with the solutions in next season. I'm really interested to know what kind of sin Battler has committed. If battler isn't Asumi's nor Kyries bilogical mother but still is Kinzo's son, that means that battler is beatrices child? Doesn't make sense though considering she died a long time ago..idk Season gets 8/10 for mindraping me. This episode is a 7/10 |

| I would have liked to see more of Witch Ange's Turmoil in School. Hell, that could make a whole anime by itself...and I probably would watch it forever. I liked the Anime (Mainly because I haven't done the VNs I will get to that today.) The cliff hanger was sort of cheesy and it was sort of good imo but my fav Ep is still 21 |

| This show was confusing, stupid, and ended on a f-ing cliffhanger. I AM PISSED. I understand that his show is loosely connected to Hiragurshi, which has a similar story (endless cycle of torture), but at least it was clear when was a flashback or part of reality. This anime was one of the worse animes I've watched thus far. 4/10. |

| I really liked the anime.. maybe because I haven't played the VN. The whole plot is confusing and at times I couldn't understand anything at all so I did what each Otaku would do and watched it nonetheless.. The less you think about explainations the more you can actually enjoy the anime I think, cause all that thinking does prevent you from recognising the very good sites of this Anime =) I'm dissapointed that there isn't a second season though, but it couldn't be helped. Guess We have to wait a bit for it =) Until then I'll give that game a try :D Hope that you guys, who are utterly frustrated by the anime can change your mind upon it, cause I believe the second season will be even better than this :D |
| Hm, I have watched this from start to finish in 3 days. I enjoyed it because it had a "Higurashi-like feeling" but I didn't understand the story. The magic and the flashbacks confused me. |

| I... I... Don't even know what to say about this. This seems like a series that should have been ~50 episodes long but they cut it in half and made the last three episodes a cluster fuck of rushed explanations that didn't make ANY sense whatsoever. Higurashi at the end made sense, this... just didn't. And not because there were things hidden that we, as viewers, didn't know about, but because there were things that would never make any sense. One thing I can theorize is that the "magic" and "witches" are mental conditions that made the people on the island want to do stupid shit but... ugh... this is just... If I was in Battler's (awful name, btw, I think it's Butler) shoes I would have seduced Beatrice and made her tell me the truth, or maybe just deal with her for the rest of eternity. |

| ... My only proplem with this series is that the plot revolves around 2 mysteries. 1.) Is magic and witches real, 2.) Who is the person responcible for killing everyone. Neither mystery is solved by the end of the series = BS. Other than that it was great. |

Gahhh! so cute~~ :DDD i started to think the same, but didnt she lose her body when his mother was young (we are shown this via a flashback in i think the 3rd world) and i would think the whole point of the being resurected bit on the epitaph is getting her body back (as well as becoming a full on witch of course) the time line just doesnt add up, for him to be her son, unless miss time witch, Bernkastel, took him to the future at birth? lol ah well, i actually started likin the beato who was actin all remorseful after everything, then it was back to the old one lol |
