| To me, this is more of a question of which Manga/Novel/Visual Novel I didn't think was better than it's adaptation. Note: This doesn't apply to standalone Anime that may have Manga adaptations based off them, to which I'd assume are not nearly of the same quality. I'd have to say I enjoyed every Manga I've ever read, except maybe the odd shoujo over it's Anime. I'm somewhat willing to say Trigun's Anime is a tad better, but that's just nostalgia speaking. Drama and Romance is just better depicted in animation whereas the budget of adapting a good shounen is far too high to exceed it's Manga's quality. As for Manga I believe were unanimously superior, maybe JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. A Vn fitting this description would be Danganronpa. |

| Pretty much all manga because they then to have a better story than the anime adaptations even though it is nice to actually see it animated. However, in series where the manga was created after the anime, the anime is probably the better way to go. |

| Hmmm difficult... I'd say every manga i've ever read is better but i like to watch anime more. Most shocker on the difference in quality was probably Tenjou Tenge, the anime(although good) was hurt by how it was produced compared to the manga. |

The anime for SnK did do things that the manga couldn't (such as animating the 3D maneuver gear) but did mess up Eren's character development at the end though it is easily fixed if there is a second season. Gintama's anime is probably one of the few where it's on par or even surpasses the source material. OT: Magi. Defintiely Magi. I have only seen a bit of the anime and from the looks of it, it screwed up certain events in the manga. |
