Btw I'm a vegetarian :) Eating your arm or toe would be REAAAAAALLY inefficient, it would actually make you die of starvation FASTER and that's not counting the risk of infections... I'd probably do it, even if the chances of being rescued were 1 in a million, because maybe, just maybe I would be rescued, like when you're enchanting a weapon and it has a 1% chance to destroy it, sometimes it does. If I had any viable alternatives I would take those obviously, but if I had a 50% chance of dying from eating poisoned berries or whatever and 100% chance of survival I would still eat the corpse. Survival > morals > avoid being disgusted |

| When you're at the point to where you're going to die of starvation if you don't eat anything. I think it's fair to say we'd go to great lengths(even cannibalism) to survive. It's only natural to do what it takes, but in order for us to break our morals to even go as far as cannibalism, we'd have to be knocking at Death's door. |

| I don't think it's a question of whether you would resort to it or not, I don't know about you but if I don't eat protein for say 2 weeks (try it cut all protein out of your diet) I get animal like cravings for meat, I imagine if I were on the verge of starvation I'd have cravings like that which are even stronger. It's a bit like Madagascar, when that sort of base impulse takes over your rational mind stands no chance. I've also had similar cravings after working out really hard in the gym and swimming a good 80 lengths, and falling asleep straight afterwards, I woke up in the middle of the night possessed by this animal hunger. Then of course there's the animal hunger you get after smoking weed, in all 3 of those cases, my rational mind was completely defunct and I swear it felt like I had fangs and slit eyes XD. |

You can use the maggots as bait to catch small fishes. Bones and rips will be use as hook. Shirts and clothing can act like rope or net or something. |
