DU DU DEW oh Mayuri.

I can't imagine if they keep changing the past it will go well. now Moeka isn't a lab member and the trap might have become a girl. although that would be a good thing. how would telling their mother to eat veggies work though?

So I guess that scraps my theory about the phone being special. Though what does Kyouma have to jump through world lines? Hmm..
Ruka-kun became Ruka-chan according to Mayushii. So it's a success, I think.
Does eating meat or vegetables have any scientific basis at all for that though?
Either way, trap or not, my soul was also being devoured by that pink dress. The horror!!
I lol'd though at Kurisu when she touched Ruka.
And I noticed that when there is a time slip, there are numbers appearing. And it appears to be decreasing. Maybe that's what Titor is referring last time about the Divergence 1%?
Curious about that.
Anyways, great episode. Looking forward to more.

Watched the ep twice, and it looks like the IBN 5100 disappeared along with Moeka.
I wouldn't be surprised if she just wanted to go back in time a bit to get her hands on it first.
And though Ruka probably had a fast and easy genderswap, I doubt it's a clever idea to use that microwave as some sort of wishing-machine.

She probably did turn into a girl, reactions + -chan + looking at female clothing with tu-tu-ru~ girl.

It's been proven: My proof is here! It indeed scientifically proven and I am very surprised myself at it.

According to my spoiler
I think it is either 0. 000 001 or it is 1.000 000 If it decreases then I think it may correlate with Homoeostasis theorem.

He should find out that it will soon be available for Xbox360 so it does not matter either way. It should be in English.

I did not notice it but that would mean they can't send D-mails? Huh? Anyway I who is Moeka and let's just say lots are going to hate her. I will leave it at that.

BTW just to be clear since last summer there was always a song playing. Always reminding me how this would be exciting. It was nothing really else but one song who decided my fate in watching this. I present it to you and yes it's way way way better than the OP IMHO.

The IBN 5100 is only used to decode SERNS's programming code that contained the Jellyman Reports. The IBN has nothing to do with the D-mails so D-mails can still be sent.

Really? So you are saying that as long as they got the decoding they will be able to send the D-mails or is it something else? Trying to understand this. Even though there are so many other elements to analyze. Well I got most of them IMO.

The D-mails were invented by Okarin. The IBN did not have any role in the invention of the D-mail nor is it needed to be able to send D-mails.

The only reason why they got the IBN in the first place was because the IBN is needed to crack that programming code within SERN's database which contained the Jellyman's Report.

So they have nothing to do with each other. The IBN will play a big role in the plot real soon however.

I'm sorry...but what? This show isn't anything like Denpa Onna. Sure Okarin and some other characters are a bit eccentric and there are a lot of hilarious character interactions within Steins;Gate, but that is to serve as character development and to deepen relationships between the cast. If you haven't noticed, the plot has been steadily getting darker and more serious now that they are experimenting with changing the past, and IT WILL get dark and serious right when we get around the halfway mark.

Ok so it was only used to see a report? So then the programming code code that was cracked had not direct implication in the D-mail invention at all? It was only due to the cellphone and microwave? Scratch that I kind of know what the major role of the IBN is but having it missing certainly does create problems. I will leave it at that. Read some VN stuff.

Yea the IBN is used only for the report.

The Phone Microwave improved in capabilities simply through testing and modifying.

The awesomeness continues. The whole cosplay scene was hilarious and yes, I think Ruka became a girl as well. It probably didn't change a lot because Ruka probably always acted much like a girl so the differences could be very minimal.

The loli and Mayuri going "Tuturu!" at each other was too kawaii, as was trap-kun (now trap-chan?). I think Ruka probably is a girl now, he was dressed even girlier than usual and blushing at 'her' DFC is probably a dead giveaway. I don't think Mayuri's aware enough of the trap fetish (or much of anything) to think Okarin's perving unless Ruka-chan was a girl after all.

EDIT: Alternatively, Ruka could have simply gained a greater acceptance of his gender identity problem in this timeline, and started openly dressing like and pretending to be a girl. Kurisu just assumed someone who was cuter than her must be another female, LOL, but he could easily pass for a flat girl. Using time travel to do a gender-reversal surgery is a little on the odd side, but this is anime. Hell, this is Steins;Gate ...

Speaking of perversions, goddess I love Daru! He fucking rocks the house ^_^ A hentai gentlemen indeed!

The characters in this show are still some of the best around, and the plot's finally picking up... I wish this series was already over so I could watch it all at once and not have to wait @_@

According to the VN there may be something at 0.000 001 but it's just a percentage of how much he changes things but from the looks of it the closer it gets to 0.000 001 the more the change worsens my post earlier in the spoiler does prove that Okabe was suffering far more in the second time leap than the first one of Moeka.

I remember correctly, time set on the microwave has 1s =1h ratio, so...

17 years will be... 17*365*24=148 920 hours, so microwave should been turned on for 148 920/3600 = 41,3(6) hours...

I really don't think that they could afford their electricity payment, not to mention what Mr. Brown will do to them for such experiments...

^This. And I think that Okarin did notice - he just didn't wanna believe it. Anyway, I'm really curious about what happened to Moeka... Did not changing her phone have such big consequences? Pretty interesting... I agree with Kurisu that they're playing a dangerous game there. They never know what exactly will change and how big that change will be. Also, why didn't sending that message to Daru change worldlines? I don't exactly know that game but my take on it is that knowing the position of the cards would mean he'd play in a different way and so would Feris, thus the outcome can't be predicted and as he fails at the game he'd lose anyway. But the most interesting thing about this episode was actually Suzuha. Even though she got little more than a line, that one line pretty much confirmed what I think about her.
