It's over, a very simple but fun one, this passage of time that appeared at the end of the demon was a surprise, 1200 years is a long time, so I don't think I would be dissatisfied with one more season, maybe if there is a manga to read I will go there too, so looking forward to the animes of the next season

What a lovely series! ๐Ÿ’ž I really enjoyed it!

Maybe it didn't have the flashiest effects or the most jaw-dropping animation... but the story was really sweet~!

And I really liked the protagonist's personality! His sense of what’s 'normal' was totally *not* normal, lol and that made him super charming! <3

@LeonLanford It was mentioned that Kurt's village moves to a different location about every 3 weeks. It exists just hard to find.
@Moppit I don't remember it being mentioned. Can you give any episode or timestamp to be exact?

I don't remember when either but in several episodes Bandana is supposedly looking out for Kurt for Hast Village. She has before said having to make a report for them and if he becomes more noticeable that she would have to take him back to the village.

So Bandana is working for Hast Village or could have also come from the same village and is babysitting him making sure not too many secrets are leaked out from him.

It's interesting Hildegard said it was 1200 years since they last met. Kurt on the other hand said it was 10 years ago.

Well , we have been clueless for many reasons.
- what's real age of Kurt?
- did Hildegard knew Kurt from previous reincarnation?
- what's inside the Hot Springs Bun which had been cured Famil's curse, kill demons and nullify the after effects?
- and this one I had been wondered for whole time WHO IS BANDANA? (sorry screaming a bit), because it seems like she knew the true strength of Kurt (and Akuri also) but so far, no Bandana's backstory to explain that poor storytelling i don't know, kinda frustrated about that.
thats it

On the last one I assume Bandana is also from Kurt's village. Since Kurt as mentioned from Bandana that he is the Sage Apprentice. So she is there to watch Kurt if his secret gets out of being the Sage Apprentice or he gets in trouble her mission is to take him back to the village. That's why Kurt was in the group Dragon Fang at the beginning it's easy to hide him there. They were an S rank group and no one would question why they were doing so well.

Kurt age no clue. It's between 15 to 1200. Kurt claims it's been 10 years since Hildegard and he last met. Hildegard claims it's been 1200 years.

but why Bandana seems like hiding in the shadows for most of the season, like just watching as an outsiders for all scenes happen to Kurt. even when they were partying together, Bandana seems like doing nothing about Kurt being the one doing the chores?

Ok, hes 1200 years old and hes that clueless about his own power? I only finished it because... I don't know why. Was a fan the first few episodes but after maybe Ep 3, and hes just as clueless as Ep 1..eh. it was more of a hate watch at that point. If there is a second season, I don't think I'll watch

osmium... they should start naming dense main characters after this element. if they were all named Oz or Ozzy or Ozymiam or something like that... we would all easily understand... dude's gonna be a dunce of epic proportions.

truly an average 5/10 anime. nothing great or disgustingly putrid about it, not as bad as ExARM and definitely not as good as Cowboy Bebop or Trinity Blood or Witch Hunter Robin or Eva...

art. meh. too many of the characters had the exact same face shape. some were taller, some were shorter, but without clothing hair and eyecolors... they looked too generic. hands, as usual too many poorly drawn hands, tons of em. this show's utter lack of deep detailing or even non-CGA texturing or depth of shading was just so so sooo blah. if you're gonna make a kooky wacky princess' hairstyle... at least make it somewhat believable... not a hairspray art-piece that belongs on a mannequin head in some museum. the lady knight's hairpins? what. tha. hell? does she need an X of two hairpins on her CENTER bangs? Kurt's ... i'm not even going to justify it by calling it armor. i've seen first timer cosplayers make better design choices.

story. ugh. Parry Hero had a better story. I'm The 8th Son!? had a better story. Wiseman's Grandchild! had a better story! truly a Gary Stu story, this author is a hack, plain n simple.

music? ok. there was music. it was... present. that's all i have to say about it. it was there.

SFX sound and CGA. not bad. i liked it. it was pretty. the CGA was obvious, but attractive!

acting. i watched the simulcast English dub. i liked it. everybody did a good job with this Gary Stu. their emoting and diction and presence pushed the 'urf' scuse me i got some acid reflux from my breakfast cereal... script beyond its... baseline... status? existence? starting point, yeah the English dub actors pushed this show's enjoyment factor (for me) well beyond the starting point.

animation? oh... bad. clunky. herky jerky. bad camera movements. utterly low FPS in lots of shots. stills galore. faces, blank except for horrific huge deformities trying to illustrate emotions. not enough eyeblinks. arms and legs weren't properly synched in many walking scenes.

personally, i would put this show down for anime noob status. know somebody that is totally NEW and UNEDUCATED or INEXPERIENCED in anime? recommend they try this show. it will give them a wonderful 'bare bones baseline' to start from. once again, "nothing great or disgustingly putrid about it" but definitely not the pinnacle of Japan's animation craftsmanship.
just an ol school American otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.

Enjoyed the show overall, and it was wrapped up reasonably "nicely", although it really introduced some completely random characters at the end.

Like "Scribbler" or whoever was actually a real person...? and some red haired samurai looking guy stared angrily at the adventurer woman while she was on the Star Wars style hologram phone.

Kurt also still thought that he was completely helpless at the end (despite all the stuff that he had done), which I didn't mind too much since it's a lighthearted show, but it did make me groan a bit out loud when it kept coming up ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Also (as lots of other people have said) it was kind of wild that Kurt is apparently 1200 years old....? Not sure if that means there's a cheesy 'frozen in ice' type deal, or if his people just live really long (naturally or from their crazy food). Funy how it was just dropped in the final episode, and not expanded upon in any way though.

pretty glad they just kept with the comedic vibes of this series despite the serious action and ngl quite glad the Margrave didn't have to die at the end of things and no one was killed during the demon lord's reappearance too

"1200 years" since last seeing each other, are you telling us that Kurt is actually older than 1200 years because of the village he used to live in????????? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Bandana made a reappearance too after being awol for a fair bit, is still curious what the deal with her is but it seems that she is interested in the safety of Kurt, meanwhile that dickhead on-the-run Golnova makes a final appearance after running away and not actually having much use in the plot of this??????

feels like this ending ends up providing more questions than answers such as the Scripter too appearing for the first time, this seems like an ending where the staff are hopeful of this series' continuation into another season but although this is just another overpower-MC fantasy, I did enjoy this one quite a bit as it wasn't all serious and Kurt is an alright MC minus all the excessive lack of self confidence that the poor boi can't even take a genuine compliment without thinking he is trash :')

It kinda makes sense if he survived 1200 years. When Hildegard got poisoned by the berries, he fed the remedy to her mouth to mouth. She stopped aging completely, and he could have gotten a weakened version of it and slowed down his aging, possibly?

This is definitely one of my favourites this season.
Such a heartwarming series with all the seriousness becoming jokes at the end... It's really lovely.
It deserves more than 9โ˜… in my book.

P.S. So, Kurt and Hildegard are over 1200 years old? truly fascinating.
Also, that bandit woman is still working behind the scenes, how charming is that?
Lastly, that box-like thing, I want to know it eventually, and I'm hoping for a sequel!!!

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

While this isekai didn’t do anything out of the norm, I had a good time with it. I enjoyed how the characters got along and Kurt’s gimmick of being oblivious didn’t become overdone and obnoxious. Finding another butch woman in anime was cool too ^.^ I really liked Solflare’s design.

The final episode was not spared from the ridiculous and absurd powers of Kurt and his creations.
I will not lie, it was funny watching Kurt being oblivious to 99% of things happening around him. But I would have been nice to see some character development from our MC, but I suppose it doesn't surprise me considering the type of show this was.

I would've thought that Hildegarde would stay with Kurt but I guess not, and even more crazy was her dropping that Kurt may be over 1200 years old ?!?
Might need to pick up the manga to continue this story as it seems wild.

Overall, this slop was an entertaining binge which I may come back to at some point down the line when I need a funny and cheery anime :}

I still don't get why Bandana always helping him from the shadow. she still guilty of expelling him too, and she enjoyed it. I kinda hate her, at least until she apologize (I don't know wether it would happen or not).

The final battle was funny. Real shame there wasn't more interaction between Kurt and Hilde, thought they would at least get some scenes back at home. Also got a scene from the red hair guy who I forgot even existed, not sure what that was about.

Was a meh show overall. They introduced a number of interesting story points, but didn't really expand on anything.

Has someone here read the novel??
What's with the 1200 years reference??
He seems too stupid to be over 15 so I'm guessing he reincarnated maybe?
Also what's his "daughter"
I don't mind spoilers, I don't plan to read the novel and this doesn't look good for a second season so I'd really to know about those two things

For some reason, first part of the anime felt something else entirely and I thought it'd go differently, however, I really enjoyed it.
Cute show and a fun one at that if you don't expect too much
