I really hope next episode we get some action finally. out of last 7 episodes there was 2 action episodes and 5 talking episodes. I ain't watching this anime for talking, there are much better alternatives for that, just give me what I came for... good action.

Well, Sakura can survive fights but a cold brings him down.

Good to know he has a lot of friends and allies that cares about him. Even that witress Kotoha came to take care of although I do find their chemistry slightly odd this episode.
@Stark700 Maybe she kind of sees him as a little brother? Or maybe a feral cat she is trying to befriend?

Tachibana finally makes an appearance. She's an important figure to Sakura, to help him start accepting others into his life. And Kaji seems to be just as important as her now.

I gotta say This was Quite a Wholesome Episode

What Kaiji/Ume said has a point IRL. You gotta be there for everyone and if you do they’ll return the favor and owe you one. Just as much as Nirei and Suo were there For Sakura when he caught a Cold. Everyone’s already looking up to Sakura, he just has to realize that eventually and he’ll be a great captain just as much as a Great fighter,

Weeks without crying to a Wind Breaker Episode: 0 idk about y’all, but I’ll never get tired of seeing Sakura’s walls break down and him learning to accept other people AND himself. Beautiful episode.

Wouldn’t be a school anime without the obligatory out from school sick with a cold episode. Slightly different vibes from most others since we’re a boys delinquent series, but just as sweet nonetheless. Suo and Nirei bringing Sakura all those snacks was soo cute. Broke my heart hearing him mumble that he was used to dealing with this alone but that visit really sparked something in him.

I think Sakura went from one extreme to the other. Initially he didn’t care to get attached to anyone, but now he’s overthinking everyone’s perception of him and thinking of himself as a failure. Dude it’s your first big leadership role it’s OK, no one expects you to be a battle tested leader! The strongest people in history had flaws and they managed to be successful because they had others supporting them who could compliment their weaknesses! That’s all we can do as people

Loved Kaji’s speech so much and it’s even better when you realize he used to be in the same position as Sakura and you’d never know it because he’s now learnt to trust his friends! Did NOT expect him to straight deck Ume for eavesdropping like that though lmao holy shit.

“Rely, rely on. Forgive. Be forgiven. That’s how you stay together!” Love this group so much, perfect confidence boost going into the next arc.

I had the same reaction Bruh.

When Nirei and Suo stopped by Sakura and even Kotoha too

Kaji’s speech was also wholesome as well. Even you can relate to that speech IRL because if you are there for someone at their Weakest(Cold) they can return the favor. The sooner Sakura realizes that…He will be a Great Leader.

A nice, relatively "laid back" episode with good dialogue as characters work through their feelings, with the help of their bros. So wholesome.

just tapped out of fire force and i might have to tap out of this too. i normally like when shows have episodes like these, but windbreaker had nothing to be invested in except cool fight choreography. if theyre gonna do some half assed shit to make us care about the characters, im good. a 10 second clip of Dandadan gives you better character writing than 2 seasons of windbreaker

Man I love Kotoha chan so much and Kotoha x Sakura interactions. Their dynamics are so good and she compliments him so damn well. Love how my boy is slowly growing thanks to the people around. Also really like Suo and how he knows when to give people space. Really curious about him. Also great advice from Kaji senpai, he did for Sakura what Hiiragi did for him. The two of them are really alike. Watching them get embarrassed when Umemiya arrived was amusing. Great episode.

It's back to normal in school, though Sakura being down with a cold, his classmates are considerably worried for him.

Both Suo and Nire visiting him out of the blue, only to find themselves being in a rather rugged place that is for single residents with no one to take care of. Sure, things look rough for Sakura, and Suo being more considerate than ever despite Nire wanting to let Sakura know that he and they got his back, it's out of consideration too for the one that also took care of him: Kotoha, knowing full well of the situation he's in with Umemiya and the others.

The next day, Kaji being visited by Sakura to the appealing sight of the 2nd Years, his discussion on how he can be like the fearless Kaji to better rely on others, his anecdote on using a coffee bottle and labelling it green tea, perfectly sums up how Sakura has been afraid of dealing with others and their expectations, to the point of shunning everyone and leading by himself out of fear and being a scaredy cat. At least Kaji understands what Sakura is going through, though both Umemiya and Hiiragi eavesdropping on the both of them, the former getting sucker punched by Kaji out of embarrassment, there's fair amounts of lessons to be learned from this experience.

The Nakama power of friendship truly IS strong with this one.

Awwwww this was such a good episode about Sakura’s character development and I’m so saddened everytime Sakura puts so much weight on his shoulders when he doesn’t have to do it and that he can rely on his friends to help him out with things he’d never ask anyone to do, he’s such an over thinker imo and his brain is his biggest opp making conspiracy’s about himself, judging from his determined face at the end I can safely say bros gonna comeback better than ever🔥🔥🔥

Bro I feel so bad for Sakura’s living conditions man, bro does have no stovetop I didn’t see no washing machine like how tf is bro even living at this point? Like what happened to his parents? It’s been a thing I’ve been wondering since s1😟

KOTOHA!!!!!!! MY LOVE!!!!!! I completely forgot about her and instantly smiled when she appeared on my screen man, shes got the hottest face design I’ve ever seen man she looks so mature for her age yet she so hot tho at the same time im glad she made an appearance in this episode😩❤️❤️❤️❤️

Kaji was spitting so bad when he was talking to Sakura at the rooftop man when he said “isn’t that bc they’re looking at who you are, and not what you can do?” ONG BRO WAS SPITTING so badly man like im totally loving the Kaji screentime we’ve been getting man, he’s been a character I wanted to see more of since s1 :D

But Unemiya eavesdropping and Kaji getting embarrassed was so funny man and when he punched him that shit had me laughing so hard man it replayed e different times too hahaha🤣🤣🤣

Solid episode 10/10 fr

Pretty Interesting Episode. No action is not as awesome to many. But to me it was the characters and character interactions that made the Episode very good. I like that the Characters like the Mc mostly has flaws and it shows them good. And these flaws are to me pretty realistic and known. So seeing how he deals with them is an good and interesting watch to me

Suo and Nirei are great friends to have by your side. Even if they bring out Sakura's inner tsundere. It's also nice to see Kotoha again.

Kaji is doing for Sakura what Hiragi did for him. I think advising your juniors with a coffee metaphor can now be considered bofurin tradition.

I did not expect Haruka to be sick, and I'm glad to see how much his class cares about him.

I get where Akihiko is coming from, but as Hayato was alluding to, this is for Haruka to work out himself.

With that in mind, Kotoha's conversation with him was funny, especially how she mocked the fact that his body stopped responding to him. But it was touching at the same time. She mentions the simple fact that there's only so many things somebody can do in a single day, so delegating allows him to do other things.

I didn't expect Haruka to seek out Ren, who gave him similar advice to Kotoha but from a different perspective. As he said, everybody has their own specialties and it takes time for everybody to figure that out. People will stumble along the way. That and the idea that Haruka is afraid of not coming through for his friends and that they'll reject him.

All of that was ruined by Hajime and Toma not knowing when to leave the room. I was shocked when Ren punched him, but Toma completely supported that. In fact he wanted Ren to punish Hajime even more.

What's about to happen next?

@Stark700 A cod isn't the problem here, but the realization that he cares about other people and is opening up, which has caused his body to act differently in comparison to his past, when he was a lone wolf.

I am sorry for Sakura’s condition, but he should be very grateful for those amazing friends he has right now. He can learn so much from them and it’s perfectly fine to count on them anytime, because they are truly an united team.

Kaji’s teachings were useful and I liked the fact that more details about Sakura’s backstory were shown. Amazing episode as always!
@OtakuKun1 What do you mean more details of his past? There's nothing new we learned about his past that we didn't know. We know that everybody hated him for looking different, so him always living alone isn't a shock.

Man I'm tired of seeing Sakura learn the same lesson over and over again. It was fine the first time but can we PLEASE move on? All this generic talk is the reason this show is so garbage outside of the fights.
@Isagi_Kevichi He isn't learning the same lesson. He's learning about the concept of trusting others, and why he has these newly developed feelings. He's learning that he's not Superman and that nobody expects him to take care of everything by himself. Even when he became the Grade Captain, he didn't delegate or rely on anyone for anything and now that will likely change.

The Best Episode of the series so far. So relatable and realistic teaching from Kaji and unlike other protagonists, Sakura seems like an actual person with his actions that so many people can relate to.Most of the times it doesn't take just a single person or incident to change a person like shown in other shows. Sometimes, it can take a lot of time and collective effort to overcome these issues and the way it is confronted in the anime is realistic and not over the top like others. The direction taken with the episode actually makes us understand and sympathise with Sakura and his struggles. The other characters seem to get where he is coming from without even knowing his past and that makes them really insightful as well. Now I can't wait to see how Sakura reciprocates their kindness, help, guidance and friendship and how he incorporates that in his life. Looking forward to seeing a version of Sakura where he has finally accepted himself for who he is and care about the people around him like they do for him in the future. In a nutshell, it was honestly really deep and therapeutic. Can't wait for the next episode.
@Neha02092023 I'm glad you're not one of those people who are like "just skip to the fighting" and understand that there has to be some buildup before we get to these major conflicts.

Wow, let’s see… a good episode? And what makes it good? No trash action, no annoying characters, just the ones that are actually tolerable this time around. And honestly, that alone made for a great episode.

The direction, ED, and storyboarding were miles better than the last three shitstains of episodes. Clearly the staff has a soft spot for Sakura, one of the only good characters in this show. I always find it funny when they try to characterize him, but surprisingly, this time around, it actually worked.

Great stuff. Although, this is probably gonna be the peak of the season. I’ll stick around to see if it somehow gets worse than the first three episodes… or maybe, hopefully, manages to top this one.
@IzanaSolos There are no bad characters in this show so far, so I don't know why you're acting as if there are.

This was an amazing episode—it gave such a warm feeling while watching. A calm moment before the storm.

Sakura has really grown a lot. Even though he still struggles with relying on others and being relied upon, you can see the change. He came here as an outcast, choosing to distance himself from everything. It was touching to see everyone worry about him when he got sick, especially after how hard it’s been for him to fit in with such a quirky group.

Seeing Tachibana nurse him and gently teach him the importance of bonds—what one person can do alone versus what they can do with support—was genuinely soothing. And the way she teased him a little made it even sweeter.

Kaji helping Sakura with advice he once received from Hiiragi showed how much he’s grown too. It feels like he’s walked the same path Sakura is on now, and I’m sure his words reached him. It’s about time Sakura breaks out of his shell and confronts his fear of being rejected by others.

Can’t wait to see what the next episode has in store for us.
@XArceusX "A calm moment before the storm". Honestly, that's a PERFECT way to describe this episode. This allows Furin to recuperate, analyze, and become stronger for the next major conflict.

Sakura is sick. His friends worry about him. Sakura lives alone. Kotoha came to his house with a hot meal and gave him a nice lecture. I love her so much. Everyone tells Sakura to believe in his friends and stop being too hard on himself. Kaji was a good senpai in this episode, and he got the same from his senpai as well. Nice.
