I honestly didnt want to watch this at first I guess I just give it one episode I dunno
Disclaimer: did not watch mygo
I heard this anime is somewhat connected to mygo soo i dunno
Otherwise its effectively an original

What is even goin on in this scene
I guess the whole point is that its not a normal anime

So this whole ep was basically one long sob story
Like in a sense its even worse than I thought
Like I get that its just a setup for whatever happens next its just really what even is this
And I dont really understand it feels like theres been a few leaps here and there between the flashbacks and whatever is going on with mygo

EDIT: Reading other comments it seems like mygo takes place directly before this
I wasnt really planning on watching another ep anyway or even in the first place

the title choice being just ave mujica with no indication that it's a sequel is going to hurt this show long term lol

I kind of expected Nyamu (Amoris) to be a troublemaker but WOW wasn't expecting her to spice things up first episode 😭Ave Mujica is musically my favorite Bandori band and I can't wait for them to become my favorite in general 🫶
Also, why is Sakiko's (Oblivionis) life so sad!? Like girl is only in high school and has seen more sh*t than 90% of the Bandori universe's people 😭😭 Couldn't hold my tears when she disbanded Crychic, can't wait to see her get a happy ending (AS THEY SHOULD GIVE HER)
PS : UIKA (DOLORIS) IS WAAAYYY TOO BEAUTIFUL AND TOO KIND IM IN LOVE WITH HER 🥹🥹🥹🥹

@GalacticWeiss12 Well the biggest reason, why this season started so strong was because Its MyGo!!!!! laid out the groundworks for the story. All the angst and intrigue are consequences of what happened in MyGo. Just look at those people who started here and not watched the prequel. They are confused asf. Especially the stupid commenter a bit above you.

I'm actually not kinda excited for this series since no more kirakira dokidoki moments since MyGO!!!!!. Just like in MyGO!!!!!, they're not the fun type of series. But when I watched the first episode, I'm surprised. We now know the reason of Sakiko's disbanding because of her father that's why she created Ave Mujica. Now, they're successful and popular that their next concert is on Budokan. But Uika just made a scene by removing the masks of her bandmates and that's why I'm looking forward to the next episode. One more unique thing is the "play before live" kind of concert they have which is shown also in the MyGO!!!!! series.

Far as visuals go, I do like GBC more
But Bandori's style works just fine for me, so long as it's telling a good story

If that was so easy, everybody would be a superstar! The story immediately feels pretentious and heavily manufactured, catering to otaku psychopath stereotypes with low-hanging plot points. Animation is only little better than the very stilted MyGo! was, nowhere near Garukura.

I'd say the second half of World Dai Star is a better take within the wider "psychological" trope.

Very good introductory chapter but in my opinion "the cards are revealed very soon" as the members of Ave Mujica have already been revealed from the first episode. since this anime is not a seinen , I don't see the drama going much further. I bet this turns into a competition between mygo and Mujica bird with its dose of drama and in the end all friends, after all it is an anime for teenagers and as has already been shown in this chapter, Sakiko is simply not bad, but rather has very tough family problems (a very common cliché). Having said that, I like music more Ave Mujica than mygo, and the characters too, so perfect for me. Come on Mujica bird, crush mygo hahahaha

It was easy if you have at least 3 huge financial sources. (The Togawa Group/ sumimi's production agency / Mutsumi's family) They can just use the power of money and influence to push it toward Budokan. TogeToge don't have those. They are just like MyGo!!!!! - an elevated Indie band. While AveMujica from the start is a commercial/money grab band.

And this is proven effective business-wise. That is why we have so many isekais because it is an easy profit. As much as I agree with you with this we have to remember that this is also a business.

@rookielazer Also, if at the last episode airing of the Ave Mujica anime the score is 8.0, it still pretty great score considering the 3D CGI animation isn't that fluid as Girls Band Cry. But that doesn't mean this anime is uglier or worse than GBC.

If you want the example of the bad use of 3D CGI animation watch EX Arm anime. 😂

nice build up since first episode. to be honest i don't really like this kind of animation. but it's ok since they will need that for the concert performance. the premises is very nice, i think some people will relate to this kind of story. i can feel how the MC feeling, their reasoning is acceptable. i'm sure someone out there know where this story goes but let's see how they cook this series. i kinda have a high hopes for this anime

The first episode of the animation picks up the story well from the previous season, addressing some of the unresolved mysteries and quickly introducing new questions. However, the pacing of the plot is quite fast, and there are a few scene transitions that feel a bit abrupt

brutal first episode for Sakiko, I did not know she had a rotten family like that.

Nyamu is a bit annoying, but a character like her is needed to add some tension... I do wonder if she will change for the better later on, or become worse?

Too edgy for my taste. I'm more interested in how they could get to Bodoukan and will she get a guardian? The way this episode showing her backstory is kind of makes me quite hard to sympathize with her for some reason. And what's up with that face reveal. The main problem that I have with MyGo is that all the characters are kind of insufferable and hard to distinguish with one another since they shared similar personality of being hyper dramatic and always angry lol. Felt like this one is gonna be the same or even worst but will see.

Interesting first episode for Ave Mujica, this band is one of the most mysterious one that has a different vibe from what we're used to seeing in BanG Dream, and now already seeing some backstory for Sakiko regarding her issues with her father and her mother who died... wow.
