| Felt bad for Aoi again but she has Makoto and Ryuuji with her now. Knew that was coming at the end there, Makoto's heart lies somewhere else. It was nice to see the three together. |

| My reading on the situation (assuming the characters adhere to an internal logic) is that Ryuji and Makoto are just very close, intimate friends. The fact that Makoto is good looking and crossdresses just confuses Ryuji, bringing other feelings into the equation. It may be a case of "just because your childhood friend is good looking and crossdresses as a girl, doesn't mean your friendship has to turn into a romance. In that case, the narrative would once again prove its inclination for nuance and avoidance of unnecessary simplification of the "if, then" kind. As for Aoi, increasingly it looks like what she needs are proper parent figures, not lovers or friends. Not forgetting that parents also can be friends, with a parental distinction. What would be best for the three? Well, what is perfect love? If friendship is the answer to that question, then perhaps they already possess what they need, they just need to realize it. |
| Goddamn, its a long series of misunfortunate events. Aoi's mom wanted to see her. Its so fucking sad. So did the mom go to Aoi's house and not find her there or did she chicken out on the way over? This anime is a little too real. Why can't they become a throuple? I've been saying this since day 1 and its the only way things would work out for them and keep everyone happy. I'm glad that Ryuji is emotionally intelligent because most people would ignore or not notice the obvious signs. On a side note, I really liked the music in this episode, the cello was nice. They did a good job at setting up moments with the music. |

| Dang, Ryuuji is such a homie, I feel bad for him but he honestly deserves someone better than Makoto. No matter what, he never blames others and is always there for Makoto and Aoi. Makoto cares for him as a friend, but he is emotionally too immature to deal with relationships right now, otherwise he wouldn't be stringing along his friend like that. It's nice that he's thinking about keeping his friend happy, but I think that more has to do with his own insecurities and not wanting to drift apart (like how Aoi has drifted apart) rather than genuinely thinking through how Ryuuji would feel being strung along by him. I'm glad at least Ryuuji was aware all along that Makoto just did not understand his feelings to begin with and just wasn't blindly strung along, although I'm sure it still hurts a lot for him since it's what he wishes would happen. It's good on him that he decides to end it himself rather than keep going though, he would be the person most hurt by this charade the longer it goes on after all. I wish it wasn't triggered by Aoi since she did nothing wrong here (not saying Ryuuji blames her, but it does make her look somewhat bad). Speaking of, we get Aoi thrown back into the mix, I'm honestly not a fan of this typical drama scenario, but things are looking like they will ship that way now. Man, honestly I'd rather Ryuuji end up with Aoi honestly, but you can't choose your feelings after all... |
