| Wow. I hope Shizune's dead. Not because I don't like her, but because Sakura really needs to catch up. What I like about this show is that the stakes keep getting raised, and the main characters are forced to be better. Not in a lame way like Bleach, but in a way that feels imminent. That said, I didn't like Sakura and Tsunade crying for Naruto when the village got razed, but they pale in comparison to Orihime, so that's something. |

| This episode was intense. I cried. BUT, Naruto's back, and I can't wait to see his big fight in Sage Mode. Also, it'll be interesting to see Nagato animated, he looked freakin' creepy in the manga. |

I agree with the lot of you.;) - Sakura has let us down, after stating she'd get strong on multipule occassions and crying for Naruto lets her down further - Tsunade is simply the middle aged Sakura; why did Sakura have to turn to another female for inspiration? - Tsunade is Hokage and legendary Sannin, people should be relying on her, nevermind her relying on a teen boy - I know they're medics and are needed, yet they're still fighters who do little, meddics (who are mostly female) and fighters (who are mostly male) is like soilders and nurses, i.e. Kishimot isn't too good at sustaining female characters, the best are either; minors from other villagers, or like Kiba's mum, a minors parent, i.e. ladies we'll see very little of - Lastly, yes, Orihime is also flood gate |

| I'm just trying to convince myself that the reality isn't true. You're right, Queen_Stars, the minor female characters (besides Ten Ten) are good/promising, but Sakura and Tsunade have been underwhelming in regards to what they should be contributing. Sadness. |

| About this episode. Really, Konoha getting destroyed seemed so...bland, rushed and completely non-emotional. Not rushed in a way they should have dragged it for more episodes, rushed in a way it happened so suddenly. Also, didn't Pain have longer conversation with Tsunade in manga? (I am not trying to start manga discussion, it's just that if I recall correctly he explained more of his plans during that conversation). Shizune dying was actually quite fun to watch, dunno why. It's nice to see families fighting together. And after whole Konoha getting destroyed, Kakashi and Shizune dying, all that is seen from (to me personally) coolest team, Guy's team, is their 5 seconds stating something seems wrong... |

| Ok, so I'm actually getting excited now from hearing that the next episode is going to have the battle between Naruto and Pain. They did that part with Shizune well. She didn't have a moment to defend herself. And it was nice seeing the battle between the village and Pain fleshed out a bit. I think they could've done more, but I'm satisfied. It's Sage Mode time now! He brought the frogs! You in trouble now! |
