| The way this Thread is worded....Jesus, guys. Why are we acting like this is this massively delicate matter week in and week out, we NEED to discuss in a lengthy way, consulting the Manga-Readers and stuff? It's a Show. It's a Shonen. Made for entertainment and cool action scenes, plus the occasional laugh. So how am I "experiencing" this, as someone who didn't sit down, looking all serious, reading up on demons fighting other demons, letting it sink in and reaaaaally admiring the art of each panel? Uhm....okay: Yeah sure....uh....it's cool^^ I sit down every new Episode, in front of my Laptop, I grab something to eat and uh....I go watch this japanese Cartoon, that looks pretty high quality. It's good fun.... enjoying it. I don't think or care about the Manga, while I do it. Nor do I feel the need to ask someone who HAS read the thing to fill me in on anything. I don't bitch about it constantly, even if an episode was just ok...I just watch the damn Show, for 24 Minutes a week. |

| Anime only here : I'm genuinely confused about the hype. I don't understand the reviews. The first 3 episodes were a drag to me. Nothing caught my attention so far... And the art style is soulless :/ "you can't really judge the anime based off of only 3 episodes" :why not? I'm supposed to be entertained while watching, and that's not the case so far, I kept looking at my watch because it felt like hours for each episode... |

If it doesn't catch the reader's attention from the first page/chapter, they drop it really fast. I'm not sure where the "it gets better" logic ever applies for any great show... Feel free to give some examples |
| it started strong and i expected a lot but after last 2 episodes im afraid it may not live up to the hype. like its fine, i will deffinitely watch to the end but i feel that it may end up similliar to tokyo ghoul situation - manga was great, anime is missing something but more people will read manga probably |

| Every episode continues to expand the lore, and every episode continues to set the bar higher. Still many questions about the story, but hopefully they unfolds in the succeeding eps. The power system is good. MC's power is unique but awesome. Fight sequence animation is kinda weird. But it was actually great. |

| Amazing so far. After reading the respective manga chapters to see how they compared, damn... the way this adaptation is bringing everything to life feels like a significant improvement. The anime quality really makes me want to watch this season first, but I'm also dying to know what happens next. |

| I’m an anime only and my only complaint is how inconsistent the animation is. It’s just typical MAPPA like with Attack on Titan where you’re gonna have people who will either fully ignore the decline, only appreciate the story and close their eyes, or think it’s not that big a deal or whatever else. When I heard all the hype for this series, I was honestly expecting Jujutsu Kaisen level animation or something and I’ve never been sold by this type of CG in anime but other than that it’s pretty enjoyable and I can see why it had such a following, but I also guarantee it’s one of those big hype shows that will just have its small pocket toxic fan base because they have nothing else going on in their lives other than to jack off to anything Chainsaw Man which is fair enough to enjoy it, but then they’re hardly gonna be not biased are they and just going to be genuinely annoying people to try discuss things with about it. |
| I'm not dropping yet....but it honestly feel like it was made for 13 years old. Like, you need to never have touched boobs to really get into a anime where the main character lines are 95% about boobs. I'm laughing (the dirty magazines scene), but I'm not connecting. And the show is taking itself too seriously to feel like it's a parody like OPM. Also, the story is a mix of a lot of manga/anime we already watched. Even recent projects, such as Kimetsu No Yaiba. Main character don't want to kill demons even tho it's his job. It REALLY lacks originality. Watching a masterpiece like Mob Psycho, then watching this edgelord fan-service mishmash isn't helping either. There is good things, such as animation, music, character design. But it doesn't fill the void of the writing. |
