so tell how it was after you're done

Be ready for one really complicated mystery, a tons of factions, crazy political intrigues and schemes, family drama, brutal slaughter and tons of unexpected reveals till the last episode of season 3.
This packed to the gills with supernatural and real fighting techniques.
Just be patient, a lot of build up in season one and more intense stuff in season 2-3.

Sheesh I'm actually really looking forward to it now. Thanks. It's probably going to be in my top 20 favorites.

Yoooo I actually watched the live action version of The Kings Avatar and it's extremely well done. One of my favorite live action shows. (the mc kinda hot tho ngl)

@Erebus_Akeldama You should watch Fog hill of five elements first. Just look at the animation.

I am currently watching Mo Dao Zu Shi. I am at ep 5 and it's my least favorite Donghua. If you like BL go for it. This might turn out to be your favourite.

YOOOOOOOO bro this is some of the most fluid hand to hand combat I've seen in a while. I'm pretty sure I prefer this over The God of Highschool's choreography. Very impressive.
I'll definitely check this one out. Thanks

From what I've watched:

-Fog Hill of Five elements was a visual fest even though I really didn't know what was happening half the time

-Legend of Hei was an enjoyable movie Big Fish and Begonia less so though they both looked pretty good.

-Watched the first episode of Link Click and wasn't terribly interested. Mabye if an English dub comes out I will try again.

-Does Scissors Seven count? If so, I dropped it after season 1, the show's sense of humour isn't for me.

There are also a bunch of indie stuff too, currently watching False Memory which has sequel coming and

I haven't watched too many chinese animations but the few I have seen have been quite interesting. They feel different than Japanese animation, but not in a bad way. There has been some plots that I haven't really seen in Japanese animation.

I'm interested on seeing more. The biggest annoyance is that I don't know a word of Chinese so all the titles look the same so it's difficult to find them and know which one I've actually watched.

CGI shows coming out from China are unwatchable.

What? This (Battle Through The Heaven 3 Years Agreement) is unwatchable:

I wish anime could pull such 3D CGI in series on regular basis, not stuff like Tesla Note.

I watched a few of them and they mostly left a good impresion. Only thing that takes a bit to get used to, is the voiceacting and that they tend to have pretty small subtitles

Can be become huge one day, but 3D animation will turn some people away from watching. If they did more 2D animation it would become more popular. But if the stories are anything like manhua it's going to be repetitive and boring, a lot of them are the same.

I can't say I've watched a ton of Chinese animation but what I have seen is pretty great. Like I don't think I've given a donghua a score below a 7 and they're mostly 8s and 9s...which considering my mean score is 6.65 or something that's damn good.

Link Click (10/10)
The Legend of Hei (9/10) - this one is criminally underwatched
Wei Kanjian Erduo La! (9/10)
Mo Dao Zu Shi (8/10)
Tian Guan Ci Fu (8/10)
Fog Hill of Five Elements (7/10)
Mo Dao Zu Shi Q (7/10)

I'm sure there's a lot of shit chinese shows out there but so far I've only picked good ones apparently.

Yes, right!? I'm proud of people in this thread.

Does anyone know this youtuber? I got some really good recs from him. He got review videos for single episodes of Mo Dao Zu Shi and others, but also recs for various seasons.

I think I haven't seen enough yet, but I overall either really liked or loved what I have seen. Wanted to start Douluo Dalu long ago as well, but this thing is a monster episode-wise.

Mo Dao Zu Shi donghua S1 - S3
Tian Guan Ci Fu novels (on-hold)

Song of the Long March manhua

Others (I quickly scrolled through my completed list):
Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri wa Nai! S1 - S3

Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan: Fanren Feng Qi Tian Nan S1 - S3
Fei Ren Zai S1 - S3
Hi no Youjin
Jiyi Guanli Ju
Kai Feng Qitan: Zhege Baogong Bu Taixing
Ling Qi S1 - S2
Long Dao Qi Yuan
Nezha Nao Hai
Quanzhi Gaoshou S1 & S2, specials + prequel movie
Shiyan Pin Jiating
Tian Bao Fuyao Lu S1 & S2
