| best ost overall (not including opening and ending which are a different matter imo) : Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon. Across 2 season, there's like 90 different tracks with ton of variety and amazingly fitting tracks everywhere. Best insert songs : Sukasuka I mean listen to that : The destructive power of these songs during emotional scenes are next level. Peoples are crying by just hearing the songs again long after finishing to watch the anime. |

| I don't about 'the best', but when i think of brilliant OST i think of Simoun, Escaflowne and Ancient Magus Bride. All have hauntingly beautiful orchestral music throughout and i love it. It gives the shows a certain feeling and anytime i hear any of the music from these shows, it brings all the memories of watching them flooding back. |

| Bleach is the obvious answer here. Studio Pierrot knows how to handle OST's quite well Gotta give Madhouse props for their OST choices in HxH, Death note, Black Lagoon or Death Parade |

| Clannad, AOT, Made in Abyss, Gintama, Houseki no Kuni... there's a lot I just find it interesting that no one ever brings up Violet Evergarden's stellar soundtrack, without it, the anime wouldn't even come close to what it actually is |

| Not enough cowboy bebop in this thread, like the best thing about the anime is the OST, and as someone else mentioned anything done by Yoko Kanno. Like trust me if Cowboy Bebop didn't had the stellar OST done by Yoko Kanno it wouldn't be considered one of the bests anime of all time period, hell her music is so good that I watched a few animes just because she was part of production and she delivers every time. Also I really love Evangelion and Hellsing OST. |

| For me, because I'm a (very) picky person. I'll say that Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. has the best OST (great OP and ED in both seasons) WataMote has the best OP, and 2 good ED (the original and the other sung by Hatsune Miku) Also, Kaguya-sama has one of the best OST (specifically talking, that scene when everybody in Shuchiin thought that Shirogane was going to confess to Kaguya, but he was going to ask her if she could help him in his campaign speech, that was very cool...) |
